I hope no one minds me asking this, I am wondering if anyone knows where I can sell all my towel cake, cupcake etc bits and pieces, i know eBay but I wasn't sure if it would sell on there. I have quite a bit of stuff, plus stands, carrier bags etc-I don't have time to do it anymore and need to free up some cash, I know I won't get what I paid but it all helps. Any advice is greatly appreciated.I Love My Computer Because My Friends Live In It0

Hi, I hope its ok to ask, I was wondering where those of you who are making nappy cakes get reasonably prices blankets or towels from? I can source most of the other things I need but have yet to come accross blankets for less than £6. Or am I being a cheapskate looking for them at a lower price than this? Thanks for this thread I did not know it was here as there's so many on the forum.0

Hi lizalloareds,
That cake was last years stuff I got in the sale at Boots. They have still got a very similar range available now and at the mo there is Buy 1 get 1 Half Price on most things. (Needs to be really as Boots are expensive)
The Teddy was from card shop "Birthdays" in sale again last year.
Managed to get loads of them for as little as £1.50. They had Tshirts/mothers Day/ Birthday on etc which I just took off.
Hi ostaragirl,
For blankets look in all the Supermarkets. Asda have them for £3 / £4 (sometimes called Shawls / Wraps) Also, Matalan, Wilcos, Home Bargains and B&M. The blanket on cake above was from Asda £3.50.0 -
Moonpenny that cake is so lovely.
Do you mind me asking how many nappies you use in each tier?
Mine must be way too big. Its for a friend who will really appreciate all the nappies though.
How can I put a picture on?Looking forward to new ventures :beer:0 -

I put 20 in bottom, 10 middle, and 6 top - rolled up. I also put a paper tube in centre and put toiletries etc inside this.
It does make it much more fiddley to make up though, not a case of putting 1 tier on top of another!!!
You can make it as big or as small as you want - there are no set rules and I'm sure your friend will love it. I'm afraid it's just a case of trial and error till you find your own style.
To put pics on here, you have to have them downloaded to a photo site first such as Photobucket.0
