Do you know if they have an 'online store' ... can't seem to find anything.

Sorry they don't seem to have an online store and a quick check online looks like the Glasgow branch is the only one.. may be wrong though sorry!

Thanks NicolacM for checking ... I guess I'll have to stick to Ikea beige bunnies .... god help me if they ever stop selling them, it's hopeless around here to find decent teddies.

I satrted making nappy cakes a while ago and they somehow seem to have taken off with friends and family although I haven't taken it any further as yet but would like to if possible. I have tried out different designs from 1 tier/2 tier/3 tier, christening cakes, prams to my latest fairy tale castle for a baby prince! I have just been asked to make one however which would mean sending in the post and this is my first encounter with this. Does anyone have any advice on how to send a cake or if you use any specific courier or postal service??? Thanks very much:-)

Hi sparklejob! The fairy tale castle sounds great! With regards to posting I have just had my first posting experience, I posted 2 cakes recently. If you look back over this thread some of the ladies on here gave me some advice and you can read my posts but to sum it up: I had to order custom made boxes as it's difficult to find ones the right size unless perhaps you're only posting a small cake. I ordered boxes 300mm(l)x300mm(w)x700mm(h) and they worked out to about £1.50 per box. I used hermes couriers but booked it through interparcel. It cost just under £6 per cake. This would've cost over £7.50 with Royal Mail. Couriers are great as they come and collect the parcels from you. I had to use a lot of bubble wrap when packing to protect the cakes and also needed to wedge them into the boxes as the boxes were taller than the cakes. Hope this helps!

Just to let everyone know Sainsbury's have a half price sale on at the moment (at least they do in my neck of the woods!) They had loads of vests, sleepsuits and socks when I went in. I resisted buying anything apart from socks though as I have enough for now but the socks were too much of a bargain to resist - 5 pairs of girl's plain socks for 90p!!
