You could always make 2 small holes in the base of the cupcake case and then attach with bands or ribbon through the holes onto lower tier

  • Thanks for your replies ladies. I must admit I haven't tried glue dots, i have tried DST and foam squares when trying to get them to stay put in a cake box and neither worked. I really didn't want to makes holes in them as the nice thing about those cases is the fact you can re-use them for baking. Will try the dots and see how I get on, otherwise might have to resort to doing sock roses as I normally do.

All look lovely, very cute bunnys. Would suggest with the blue one replacing the elastic band holding the bottle with a ribbon maybe?

  • Hi girls,:j
Haven't been here for ages (I think from June I was absent :() But now I am back lol. I've forgot my details for loggind but was reading you sometimes when i had time. As you see (those who remember me) it wasn't so easy to be pregnant with 2 little girls at home and running my let say business at the same time.
Now I have time only in the laaaate evening and at night as I can't sleep till 2am more less (the baby is kicking all the time :rotfl:)

How are you all, prepared for Xmas? Are you doing any craft fairs? or do you sell on car boot sales? I will do one craft fair before Xmas and hope I will sell anything. Actually I am looking (searching) for some boxes but can't find any as everything is toooo expensive :( so just selling localy till now and only posting small gifts.

Tomorrow I want to make Baby 1st Christmas nappy Cake so when will be ready will pos a photo here for you judges :D

    Wish you all the best

    Hi everyone
I've made a few nappy cakes for friends who have had babies recently, and am currently making one for my husbands work as a colleague has just had a baby. This one is a luxury cake and the biggest I've made so far - 4 tiers. I'm pleased with how its turning out and have managed to insert a large bubble bath inside which is securing the two middle tiers. In the past I've used a wooden spoon to secure them all but wondered how others keep their cakes together? Although I don't think the cake will need to be sent by courier, I want to make sure it doesn't come apart in transit!! I guess once it's been cellophaned that should help.
I will try to post a photo when it's finished.
    Any help much appreciated!

Hi Mim, just make sure the cello is fairly tight and I'm sure it will be fine.
It's a bit quiet on here at the moment, is everyone busy baking for christmas craft / gift fairs? I know I am, my diary can't take any more!!!
