take alook at my home page.. might give you a few ideas =) x

Lovely things you make! Thanks for the ideas. Fancy making the lollipops. I was going to use a baby spoon for the stick as I got some weaning WTP ones reduced in Asda last night. How do you fasten the stick to the flannel? Also like the bunny soaps so need to work them out.

  • Hi All

Just a quick question, for those that use hooded towels, where do you get them? Im finding they are really bumping up the cost, I have seen them on sale at the pound shop but cant imagine they would be very good quality? Or would it be cheaper to use fleece blankets instead?

    Thanks

Primark do them for £3.50 (I think!) and Matalan do them for £4.50. Asda, I think are £3.

I have found that not many people want the towel cakes, they seem to much prefer the blankets. However, that is just me, other people may disagree and sell more Towel cakes.

    Would be interested to know.

My customers specify the price and I tell them the kind of cake that I will do for that price. No-one has ever said that they would prefer blankets or towels.
TBH, I would have thought that they would get more use out of having multiple towels rather than blankets anyway.

I thought Towels would be more useful when I started making cakes but I'm afraid I hardly sell any with towels on

I always have a stock of cakes made up that people choose from and they nearly always pick the blankets. I am prepared to make up what they want but they are always happy to pick one ready made up.

When asked if they prefer blankets to towels they almost always say blankets.
Actually, I think it is more to do with the look of the blankets - looking more cuddly, then anything else.
