I got sent the wrong order of ribbons last year but, they were really good and I got to keep all the wrong order as well as getting mine a few days later.

Sam-mumof4, Some people on here make Towel Cakes or "Pamper Cakes". I think there is a thread as well to give you some ideas - Why don't you give it a try yourself?

I am so rubbish at anything remotely arty crafty type.. i mean really really bad lol

Moonpenny, sounds good, but somehow I really don't think I've got that much use for 10 whole rolls of florist ribbon ..... lol, it would take years to get rid of it.
Shame though, I'm sure they will be very happy to know they've sent me all this for £2.99 ... with free delivery!! :rotfl:

Must be the season for it. I ordered two packs of pull bows last week and they sent the wrong colours. I've now been sent the correct ones but they haven't mentioned anything about returning the wrong ones.

    Quick question ladies

Which nappies are plain white with a little pattern just on the waist?

Asking as I am finding that some pampers are white (size 3 simply dry) while others (size 3 active fit) are a bit coloured with a stripe around the leg. I make the rolled nappy cakes that are not wrapped (yet to try them) so want white nappies.

    Thanks in advance

Rebob, I use Pampers Newborn size 2 and they are white with a coloured band at top. Size 3 are the same.

I think you have to get the "Newborn" for them to be white.

I bought some size 2 Nightime ones (thought they were a bit thicker) but they are a bluey green colour so can't use them on my normal cakes.

Has anyone else with a facebook page had a Jessica Bailey write "inbox me" on it? I couldn't so replied asking her to e-mail me and got no response, I noticed she'd done the same on a couple of other nappy cake pages, has anyone else been contacted by her? It just seems a bit weird to me, probably just my suspicious mind!!!

What company are you all buying your ribbon from. I could do with ordering some more and usually go to the wholesalers, however as my mum is away it makes it a bit more difficult to get to with the kids. TIA!
  • Hi all

Just looking for a little advice, Imade a nappy cake for my sister last year, anyone that saw it said I should be making more of these to sell. Ive now decided to bite the bullet and have a go, see if I can turn it into a little earner. Ive done some research and as far as Ican gather there isnt anyone in my area doing these (goodness knows why though). Im just struggling with a name, Idont just want to go with nappy cakes because Im hoping to do pamper cakes, sock cupcakes etc, how did you all think up your names???

    Thanks xxx

Same problem!! OH came up with a name but it has nappy in it and like you I want to make other stuff. I have had it pointed out to me though that it doesn't preclude you making other stuff which is true. It does make it more confusing for customers though I think. Others opinions eagerly awaited! I wanted to call it inedible cakes by me but apparently the negative connotations weren't a good thing! :D
