Hi Thanks for the advice Giggle, kind of what I was thinking, I have been a body shop consultant for the last 3 years and never sold masses of stuff at fairs. Am also going to try and make some sock cupcakes and sundaes cause they look so cute and I think smaller cheaper items will sell better.

Sazzlepink, cakes look lovely, I went to asda on Sunday and they had mini cuddle animals for 50p! I bought 20! They were bears and jungle animals. They are small though, about 4 inches when sat down, I'm going to use them for mini cakes. They are suitable from birth too.

Thanks lastminutej. Do you use a plastic bag or sheets of cellophane to put the completed cake in? My bag had corners that showed around the round base, so I wondered what to do next time.
I have tried lots of methods, I find that with mini cakes I wrap it underneath and gather at the top trying not to bunch the cello up at the front so the cake can be seen better. With larger cakes, I use the tube method, I lay my cello on the table and roll the board up with a little overlap then cut the cello. I then stick double sided tape all round the edge of the board in inch bits. I put the cake on the board, then hang it over the edge of a table and attach the cello, peeling off the tape a bit at a time, moving the cake round. I find if I don't put the cake on first and try and slide it in after it bunches too much at the bottom, but I do use the right size board for the cake, i.e you can't see the boards usually. Hope all that makes sense!!

Hi Katsu - think I misunderstood your original q :o!
I use cellophane. I measure, cut and and tape the sides together to make a tube then roll a few centimetres up from the bottom to make a "seam" at the base and tape it down. I end up with a "bag" - once the cake is inside the "bag" (that's the hardest bit for me) I secure the top then tidy the bottom by taping the "seam" (the two sticking out ends from when I taped it - underneath. I find it saves tape as I only have to fold the 2 edges under and also means the cake usually sits flat!

I think I have made it sound way more difficult than it is - althought I absolutely hate wrapping and wish someone would invent a very cheap machine to do it for me!

Hello, I remember someone on here had a lovely banner made to go on their stall that they got on ebay. I was wondering what seller it was and did you design it yourself or did they do the art work? Thanks
