    Congratulations ltnc, that's marvellous!

Here's some that I've done for weddings in the past:

If it were me I'd also do some wedding stationery and favours to take along too.

    Can I come! lol

    Good luck!

Just a bit of advice please , if you don't mind.

At the moment I only do collection from my house. I want to keep it local and not get into posting out cakes etc.

I just wondered about delivering locally.

    Does anyone do this?
How far do you deliver ie. radius of where you live?
Do you charge for delivery, add it into the price of the cake or give free delivery locally?

I live 8 miles south of a city but there is also very rural south of me. I just wonder if delivering would be a good option giving I don't really know my way around?

    THanks

Hi, thanks for the advice yesterday everyone. I am already self employed so have done tax returns etc. I must sort out some insurance though!

Below is a link to a pic of the first wedding towel cake i did for a friend last weekend, it had a bottle of champers and a small box of chocs inside which made wrapping hard so it was a little wonky but everyone seemed to like it! they thought it was the actual cake when I carried it in!

    Hi
I am just getting in to all this, I think you need to charge per mile really especially with fuel prices the way they are x

    Hi Irlrip

I offer collection from my house, posting and delivery.

Obviously the postage price would be whatever is the going rate for the size of box and whether the customer wants it to be sent so it needs to be signed for, if I'm delivering, I have a maximum distance that I'm prepared to travel - ie 30 miles and would just add on a fiver for petrol, and if I'm deliverying locally, then it's free delivery.

    Hope that helps

    Beautiful towel cakes everyone!

SallyUK, I especially like the spring flowers one and carmin - your feather one is just gorgeous. I love the colours.

natnat13, you did well to keep the shape of your cake considering the chocs etc. Well done! it looks lovely.

Hi irlrip, I can't even deliver as I don't drive but I would certainly charge something if I did.
For "local" could you just factor a couple of pounds into the price and offer free delivery, or say free delivery over a certain amount spent.
