Im trying to design some leaflets for the fete's im attending because I think these events will be more useful for spreading the word then actually selling any thing but i can not even decide how i want the leaflet to look, im in desperate need of inspiration.

Do you have Microsoft Publisher on your computer? if yes you can try design sth there or you can log into vistaprint and see what they have maybe they'll inspire you. Hope that help

Evening ladies, hope your all having a good easter :)

Was just wondering if any of you use leaflets/ business cards to promote yourselves? If you do, did you design your own?

Giving myself brain ache from thinking so much :D

    x

I have my business cards ordered from vista print but it's my own design they have a lot of options and I do my leflets/posters in Microsoft Publisher - it's sooo easy :)

Arrrrrr!! Glue dots!!!! They are not holding my ribbon, I think they are getting too warm. I'm going to tie with bows at the front in the future. Thanks for the swirling tips everyone, so much faster then rolling.

Everyone's websites are looking good, mine is getting there, not available to see yet though.

Can anyone help me with sock cupcakes please? I use 1 pair of socks in a standard cupcake case and it doesn't look big enough? Does anyone use two pairs, almost looks a bit too much then though?

    Thanks

    Hi Natnat,

I use double sided sticky pads to stick ribbons rather than glue dots. I've found the ones from the pound shop are the best.
Also for sock cupcakes unless you're using thick socks I've found I need to use 3 socks. As I only sell mine in boxes of 4 it's not a problem it just means they get 6 pairs of socks.

Interesting. I've always found those double-sided pads to be next to useless. Maybe I was using ones that were too small. I tend to use hotglue now, but it can be a little tricky.

Hiya! I sat last night going through this thread as I didnt realise there was a new one!! Your cakes are amazing!!
An online gift website is looking to sell my one tier cakes!!(I know the owner......he's my dad!!)

I have managed to get everything wholesale apart from the baby wash cloths and nappies, anyone know where I can get the wash cloths from? I suppose I could use a normal flannel but then it doesnt feel right and looks a bit daft on the ingredients tag!
I will sell them to him for about £12 to include cake board, 15 nappies, muslin cloth, teddy and "wash cloth"

    What do you think?

Also if you dont mind me asking, are there any rules and regs when selling to joe public that I need to know about?

And one more question if you dont mind but when you advertise yourselves do you have a product range so to speak or do you offer custom made and then just put pics on your leaflets etc of what you have done?

Many thanks in advance, am off to read the remaining 101 page of this thread!!

    Sarah:)
