Sally - thanks - it's a dog (i think) the label calls it "my first rattle", £2.75 from a local chemist.

Lizalloareds - Boots do a pack of 3 for £12.99 containing a white, lemon and mint green hooded towel. There are most probably cheaper available in the uk - we don't have many shops over here!

Hello everyone. Have been making these for friends & family for about 6 months & after the feedback, I've started advertising them. My local playgroup is going to put up a poster for me, so hopefully it will spring some orders. There's no one else nearby doing these (as far as I am aware), so am not treading on anyone's toes, at least, I hope not!

You all make such lovely cakes! And your websites are brilliant, too. Will need to get mine up & sorted, but so far have only managed to create a Facebook group. If anyone wants to see, I'm under as FeyMouse Nappy Cakes. Not a lot of content on at present, but hopefully will add more bits & pieces soon.

Have read this entire thread and it's taken me just over 2 weeks! Mind you, I only read at night after the children have gone to bed! :)

Looking forward to baking with you all. :)

Evening ladies, hope your all having a good easter :)

Was just wondering if any of you use leaflets/ business cards to promote yourselves? If you do, did you design your own?

Giving myself brain ache from thinking so much :D

Hello Snookles. My wonderful husband designed my poster that we have put up, & is going to design some leaflets, too. He seems to have an eye for this sort of thing, so I roped him in! :)

I've only just started actually selling my nappy cakes, as opposed to just doing them for friends & family, so haven't done much advertising.

I was thinking about putting a leaflet underneath the Nappy cake between it & and cake board, so that when it's dismantled, the recipient has my contact details.

I put a business card into all my cakes and also offer the customer some leaflets if they want;)
