Ah Bellag it's beautiful! Really stunning! You have a real flair for it. I'm glad it's all going so well for you as they really are in a class of their own. Well done!:T

They look amazing - the icing is brilliant - is it butter icing?
I may have to try to make some for the next school pta cake sale but i'm sure they won't look as good as yours!:) Your idea for transporting them is inspired:T

Hi, yes it is what is normally known as butter icing. Unless you are selling it and then it has to be called 'filling cream' as it's one part margarine (Stork) and two parts icing sugar with a few drops of vanilla extract, although I was out of plain icing sugar and used the tate & lyle fondant icing sugar - I have used this before, it makes a softer 'butter icing' and stays softer, so is good for being the 'icecream'.

The transporting idea wasn't so much inspired as desperate. Having made them to take to a meeting yesterday evening, I realised that I was going to have to take them round in the car with me all afternoon, and as they tended to fall over even just on the worktop, I was going to end up with a sticky mess! I need to make some nicer looking holders by covering some cereal boxes first I think, to take them to sales etc.

The recipients (who are always my 'cake testers') pronounced them a success, and couldn't understand how I got the cake into the cones!

You shouldn't be worried about posting your photos, your cakes look beautiful!! That one is gorgeous, I love the little roses and the way you've folded the facecloth!

If you need a hand with your website, please give me a shout.

Oops sorry about the big photo - i did it right once before but can't remember how:o.

Also trying to set up a website and i'm so impressed with all the ones from here as i'm finding it really difficult and time consuming - maybe i'll have a bit more time over the holiday weekend.

Hi all, new to this thread, such beautiful creations!

I posted this on the roses from baby clothes thread so thought id put it here too:

My first attempt at a nappy cake, which I thought was quite hard!:
