New Nappy Cake
Comments
-
Right, after reading all of your very helpful/inspirational posts, I decided to have a bash at making a nappy cake myself. Now I have to say that for a baby present, an inappropriate number of swear words were used during its creation
You name it, it went wrong - blankets too thick, cake tins too small, not enough bands or pins, but I at least got the colour scheme right for my recipient
It's for one of my best friends who is due in just over three weeks and she's having a baby shower tomorrow - with two other friends due in April (and we all work together... something in the water!) I best get practising.

And the mega cute bunny on top:
There's scratch mitts and a couple of bibs hidden in there too
Apologies for the size of the photos, I always struggle to resize them
Despite the name, I'm actually a laydee!0 -
NiceGuyEddie where did you bought that cute Bunny?? I love it!!:T0

I just wanted to say that I'm so addicted to this website! I'm loving these cakes and went out yesterday on a bargain hunting shop, found loads of bits in the Poundshop and found some nice fluffy white towels in ASDA reduced to £1 for hand towels, £2 for bath towels & £3 for bath sheets. I thought this was good?
I've made a couple of cakes and am really pleased with them. Thanks to you all for getting me into it!!LBM Jan 2011, Debt Free Sept 2017 - best feeling ever

It was half price a couple of weeks ago, I think it was about £3/4ish. Despite the name, I'm actually a laydee!0 -

they were £6 a few weeks ago so presume the price is still the same? The elephants are from Asda, but you will not be able to find them anywhere now as asda have stopped stocking them
thank you rustyflange, might go to matalan in morning as have two more cakes to make.
also love the new cakes that have been posted.# 017 -Sealed Pot Challenge 8

Hi all. I notice that a lot of you use the spotty blankets from poundland for one of your tiers. Has anyone seen them recently as my local shop hasn't had them in for a couple of weeks and I'm beginning to think that they may not be getting any more back in.
I seem to be struggling to find 'ingredients' at a decent price these days and may have to put my prices up.

Thank you, I'll keep up the daily visits to my local shop then, there is still hope that they may get some more in!0
