Hi Irlrip - fab cakes, and I notice you have got the lovely "Next" reindeer!
Did you find it easier "swirling"?
Yes he is from Next, lovely but £5
I gave up on the swirling last night:rotfl::rotfl:I will give it a go again though.
Carlymummy - that will be great getting professional photos taken. Everyone says my photos don't do my cakes justice but I am hopeless at them, the light is never right0 -

Think you are underselling yourself highly there angel kay! Ladies sock cupcakes i sell one pair in a silicone case - £4 swiss roll cakes £3 have a look at my website! Don't undersell yourself
Hope the fair goes well, will keep my fingers crossed for youProud mummy to 3 beautiful boys!0 -
Wow Carlymummy 50 nappies for 3 tier! I use 30 for my 3 tier. The only things I put in my cakes now are 4 or 5 x 300ml Johnson's products to keep things simple.
I'm very excited as made 4 up at the weekend for a friend's other half to do me some professional pics and she said the pics look great! I can't wait to see as want to use them to redo my awful website as the cakes have changed totally since I did the original, and also some leaflets to send out.0 -
Can anyone tell me why most people seem to use bigger nappies? are size 1 (newborn) ok to use? or are the bigger ones recomended for a certain reason?
thanks x0 -
angelkay - I agree with carlymummy - you have underpriced yourself!! I do think it depends on the type of fair you are at though. I have done quite a few now and have lots of comments that my stuff isn't over priced I don't know if this means its underpriced or what but it seems to sell. I have oiked a few prices up at fairs by a few pence to see and they are still selling so I dunno lol Please feel free to check out my website too -I'd check a few to see what others are charging. I charge a few pence less at fairs though as I don't cello wrap anything really -only for my website orders, all I cello wrap for fairs is the big stuff and sock roses
Carlymummy have looked on your website before but I love the black and white design going on its very classy!!0 -
Most people use bigger nappies after getting feedback from recipients saying they don't want to dismantle it. I think the longest one of mine stayed intact for was 5 months! She said she just couldn't stand to take it all apart. Newborn would be fine but don't forget there are some fairly hefty newborns around too these days so another reason for larger sizes.0

Thanks Becs x

I've been using newborn nappies as I was getting them at a bargain price. I'm nearly out of my supply now and seem to have amassed a load of size 2 money off vouchers so I guess I'll be going up a size for my next cakes.0
