Haven't posted here for a while but do like to read through and see all the fab cakes you are doing. Just wanted to say that I'm really pleased as I have made my first nappy cake sale. It was for the cake below

After weeks of not doing anything I now have 2 small xmas fayres coming up. Also it's my son's 6th birthday in a couple of weeks and I'm making him a Ben 10 cake/hamper. Or should that say 'going to attempt' to make him one!!!0 -
Wow, ladies, they're all so stunning
It's something I'd love to give a try, but I'm ploughing all my money into my (real) cake business at the moment. I'm attempting to convince someone to let me make them a cake that looks like a nappy cake
Now I hope I'm not breaking forum rules here, if I am, I'll amend this straight away, but I'm trying to find someone who might be interested in supplying me with a few - nappy/pamper cakes, flannel cupcakes, anything really, that they'd be happy for me to sell in my online shop. I thought of PMing some of you, but I don't want to spam people. If anyone is interested, please PM me, and I'll give you my info so that you can check me out.
As I say, if this is against the rules, then please just let me know, and I'll erase this message straight away. Proud DFW Nerd 135 :cool:Sealed Pot Challenge - 0190 -
Hello, I am selling some kids cakes, they have a blanket and toy, and one of them has a candy cane. I haven't worked out the cost of the boys one but its the girls one im having a problem pricing. i know you all say you should charge the full price even if you got somethingin the sale but the blanket cost £3 and if i had brought the toy at full price it would of been £15! I think they look nice (that sounds a bit big headed!) but not worth 15 plus 3 plus profit! I think i paid £3 for the toy. What do you think i should charge for it?Best wins in 2013 £200 and Mini iPad. 2014 no wins. 2015 2 nights 5* hotel with £300 vouchers plus £1150 Harrods gift card

Hi LauraJayne
I know you said you're looking for someone's cakes to sell in your online shop, but I wondered where you were based?

Hi Vikki-louise
How about around £10 or £12?
Have you taken any photos at all?

To the lady who's PM'd me earlier, you need to empty your inbox lol.
I'm based in Surrey by the way - so if anyone is interested and local, that'd be fanstastic:cool: Proud DFW Nerd 135 :cool:Sealed Pot Challenge - 0190 -

Has anyone seen a youtube video for the swirling method I have looked but can't see one? I have not used this way before but would like to give it a try.
Thanks0 -
Love th cakes Angelkay!
I haven't sold my bike cakes - I was very disappointedlol!
Irlip - sorry I haven't seen a video but I just kind of lay them flat in a row slightly overlapping and then roll - gets a bit tricky trying to hold them together though then I fix with a band - but giggle had a very clever ida she lays ribbon underneath the nappies and then to roll you can secure with the ribbon! Haven't tried it that way yet as been to busy with my pamper cake orders but can't wait to have a go!
I think the best way is to just give it a go - its so much quicker than rolling and better for usage after too for the parents - in my experience anway
Good luckProud mummy to 3 beautiful boys!0
