i got a brochure thing thru the post today for matalan that says they are doing pram blankets and sheets at 2 for £4. I would imagine that would include their pram blankets with the designs on which are normally £3 each but as i'm 50 miles from the nearest matalan i'm not able to check. thought it might be of use to someone as i know some of you do use matalan blankets.0

carlymummy - Yes if you need a lot of the same thing wholesalers may be the way to go but even wholesalers go out of stock of certain bits. Obviously no one knows how well they are going to sell -you don't want to have tonnes of identical stuff if you can't use it although I'm sure you will be able to on something! not sure which wholesalers you use but some arent that cheap once you add VAT and delivery costs If you can buy loads at a time from places like Home Bargains etc it may be ok -just explain that stuff goes out of stock at the suppliers and designs may need to be changed sometimes.
wardy - I'd head to Asda, Primark (they do really soft baby blankets -nice ones for £3.47) Yes Matalan do nice baby blankets and thanks angelkay for the Matalan info - will be heading there soon!0 -

all in it was about £35, but I made it for BF's Mum who gave it as a present to his brother and his fiancee who are about to make her a 1st time granny, so budget wasnt too strict. it is heavy tho- i didnt realise how much 104 nappies on a tray with blankets weighs lol!0 -

Been looking at all the nappy cakes and am amazed at all of them. Was on this board last Christmas and found some great ideas. This Xmas I was thinking of selling some things at School fairs/ Craft fairs and wanted to do some things more suitable for older children. I saw that Rusty did a couple of cakes with kids towels but everytime I try it, it looks like a dogs dinner. I understand with the nappy cakes there are nappies inside to wrap the things around but what could I put inside my kids towel cake? DOn't think they would appreciate nappies or toilet rolls? Any IDEAS would be much appreciated.
