    Ok Ladies

This is my attempt at a towel cake for a New Home.

    Opinions please??

I've used two bath towels, two hand towels, five tea towels (three are hidden inside the cake) some kitchen utensils, four egg cups on top of it, one tin opener and I was going to add some nice flowers around the bottom of it but OH can't find his wire cutters tonight - lol.

Oh and after taking the photo, I noticed one of the flower centres had came off and gone on to the ribbon, but I've since rectified that.

It looks black and white in the photo, but it's actually shades of brown and cream.

Hi Girls, I need help QUICK! lol, I have been asked to make a lemon/white 2-tier cake for Thursday. I have the nappies, but I am wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction as to where I can find the following, preferably in lemon or lemon & white. The white isnt a problem, but I struggle finding lemon.

trying to avoid spending more than £12.00

    Soft blanket
    vest
    socks
    scratchmitts
    hat
    bootees
    wash cloths
    bibs
    brush/comb & rattle
    teddy

Nicky you can get lemone socks in Mothercare but there in a pack of 5 with 4 other colours Tesco does a yellow teddy so could you not do the cake in white with lemon ribbons and just a few bits of lemon on like the socks i also think primark do lemon bids (im sure someone on here said they did)

  • Nicky - I really struggle with lemon too! the 99p shop had soem hat/scratch mitts and bootes sets a few weeks ago white with yellow dots on if thats any good? Tesco has a new baby range of soft toys too - I think they had some ducks which were yellow but were about £4. Havent seen any yellow bears Sorry can't be of more help!
