lrlrip - I started of with just word of mouth sales and put a few leaflets up in places and I also 'forgot' some and left on tables in kids soft play -I got one order by doing that! Hubby is in the process of doing me a website as hes into website design so at least that won't cost me anything. I think you can get cheapish oones you do yourself but I'm not sure how good they are or what they are like.

Thanks, think I will just start putting leaflets around.

    Hi Irlrip

If you have a local church newsletter or if any local groups or clubs have newsletters, it's sometimes quite good to advertise in there and quite cheap too?

My daughter sings in a local choir and they have a newsletter that gets printed every couple of weeks and I advertise my cards and gifts in that.

I also have some business cards which I carry with me everywhere, and happen to leave lying around wherever I go - lol

I do websites and they only cost me £50 for a year including domain name, and they're not one of the ones that you buy in a box. Hope this helps.

For all you ladies that do not have a website can I ask how you advertise please?

There are very little or no craft fairs in my area, I have no idea now to make a website so my sales so far have been by word of mouth which is not the way to go to make sales :(

I did a few leaflets but have just given them to friend's. Where do I go from here?
  • Hi

Iam new to all this I made a nappy cake for a friend which my hairdresser seen and she ordered 2. Everyone has talked me in to doing 3 fairs in november. Iam now starting to worry. Do 2teir or 3teir cakes sell best. I have made a snowman nappy cake which I hope will go well. What size of clothes do you think is best?

Sorry about all the question! But I really do need some help.

These are a couple that I did last year and I'm not all that happy with them, I'm sure if I do them again this year that they would be a lot nicer!

I also used some of their larger reindeer teddies, £1.50 or £1.99 ???? but cannot find the photo at the mo.
