My Wedding Cake is Famous ha ha ..

i recently made a towel wedding cake for my football mad nephew and his bride to be. the cake was in the local footy colours and they have just had their wedding day story printed in a well known magazine. And pictured right there with pride of place is my wedding cake .

:TWow, that is lucky getting your cake in the magazine! Which mag was it?
I am still hunting high and low for some suitabe clear boxes for cupcakes. Am having absolutley no luck at all... what with that and having to decorate the sitting room on my own in the hour lunch sleeps that my little one has! Nightmare!:eek:
Oh well will be good when done. I need to get these boxes asap as I have a baby show coming up in sussex where I kive.
Again I will stop the rambling.
Any help would be great!

I offered to give 10% commission on all sales...only one of them took me up on that, the other very kindly didn't want anything:j I had thought about asking to display at the reception desk in a local ladies gym as well, but haven't got round to it yet...no harm in asking though!

Haven't posted for a while as haven't made any new cakes. Chatty, I bought the mag you were talikng about and when reading the article I thought that I'd seen the cake before. I realise now that it was the one you posted on here - fab cake.

Just finished this for daughters friend, cost roughly 8 pounds but its more of a personal one than one for selling as she picked the stripey blanket and doesn't know the cake exists yet!

thanks clare, its nice that its been recognised. everybody who has seen it who didn;t see the original cake thought it was an actual edible wedding cake. when she pointed out that it was a towel cake they were amazed and now have quite a few on order . so going to be busy

Blimey, I have just had 3 orders from the same lady.
She is after 1 x pink, and 2 x lemon cakes.

The pink and 1 lemon is not a problem ..... but don't have a teddy for the 3rd one.
Anyone seen any nice neutral teddies anywhere .... that would go with lemon ??

And some nice lemon bibs anywhere ???
