Hi everyone,
Some great cakes out there. I've not posted in ages but thought I'd post one of my "new" cakes. I've found a supplier for the blankets so have gone really upmarket with them so just have to hope they do well! I'm looking to sell them for £50.
Vikki_Louise I tend to agree with your mum, I think £12 is alot for what you are offering, it also doesn't look like there's much in the basket because it's all covered. You can try though and see what happens. Worst case scenario they don'gt sell it and you haven't lost anything by trying.
great cake
Thanks for your honest opionon, I will scrap it and use the stuff in a cakeBest wins in 2013 £200 and Mini iPad. 2014 no wins. 2015 2 nights 5* hotel with £300 vouchers plus £1150 Harrods gift card

I have been asked to do a "Christmas Creations Fayre" at the local Secondary school at the end of October. I have only made my nappy cakes so far and was not even making them at Christmas last year.
What do you recommend that I make that is more Christmassy? I don't want to pay out too much but feel people will be looking for Christmas presents rather than Nappy cakes.
Thanks0 -
I was amazed how many Babies 1st Christmas nappy cakes I sold at sachool fairs last year...I did really well with them...Cazo1:wave:0

I havent personally done any christmas cakes but I have seen them somewhere! Can't remember where it was!! But I think they had the usual nappy cake type stuff but with babys 1st xmas bib, little baby santa hat and christmas theme soft toy. They were single layer ones which I saw (think a single layer one would be enough for xmas!)0

Can I ask what you put in your cakes?
Thanks
Hi Irlip....I did some one tier, with a white fleece blanket, 1st Christmas bib & socks.... a Christmas bodysuit vest or sleepsuit and a Christmas soft toy...Tesco had lovely (from birth) ones last year...and for the two & three tier just added extras from the above + a pair of Christmas bootees. Tesco, Asda & Mothercare had beautiful baby 1st Christmas things last year, in fact I got all my stock for this Christmas in the January sale & it cost me very little!:santa2:Cazo1:wave:0 -
brudie25 and Cazo1....thanks for that. I will just have to hope that there is lots of lovely Christmas things in the shops soon.0
