Hi Irlrip, love your fabulous new cakes. They are gorgeous! I love the "bumble bee" on the first one. Can I ask you where you got him from?
Hope you are feeling better!
I have been ill all week with a "fluey" thing! - hope it's not swine flu! I never get colds or anything but this has really laid me low.
At moment I have lost interest in my cakes, but am putting that down to not being well.
The motor bike cakes look really good! It's amazing how new ideas keep popping up, when you think you have seen it all.0 -

Some lovely cake on here ladies well done. I had a fab bank hol weekend doing my 3 day craft fair. I sold tons of small gifts and the smaller cakes no 3 tiers sold though but i have 4 orders for november already and many said they would be in touch. I was wiped out of business cards so i have got to get more of them done. I was slighty annoyed at one point a craft fayre organiser came around looking for stalls for their fayres and she gave most peole details of them accpet me a another stall. I guess Nappy cake making is not seen as real craft as ok we make the finished product but the items are made by other companys and bought in by us. The lady picked up the one thing on my stall i didn't make and said very loud huh made in china. Well it was a china mug! The other stall holders were really lovely and we did have a right laugh but i find they can be a bit cagey about telling you what other fayres they will be attendng. When i aked they would just say that they have a few more between now and xmas but didn't like to give locations. Also one stall i know will copy some of my ideas as they came over and said to each other oh that's an idea for next time i had never thought of doing that. Can't stop them but it's a bit annoying.
Here is some hampers i did the night before the craft fayre, sold both the boy and girl one.:)Mummy to 2 wonderful boysWant to be fit for 30 not fat at 30but i want never gets!!!0 -

Don't know if it's any use to anyone but went in netto and they were doing large boxes of huggies nappies at 2 for 10 pounds . Asked the manager and he said it's most stores if they have them.Cross Stitch Challenge Member Number 20

Hi Guys
Just had my first orders for nappy cakes, only made one before:eek:. They are for a couple of my colleagues, one wants to spend £10 for a single tier cake and the other wants to spend £30 for a 3 tier cake. As I have only made one single tier cake before I'm really not sure of prices of things. Do you think I will be able to make these cakes for that price (not including money for making them) ThanksFeb GC £80 per week (Well I'm gunna try:whistle:)

I charge £15 for my single tier but used to charge £10. this includes making £5 profit so you should be fine. My 3 tier cakes are £25 which again used to be £20 and includes £5 profit. If you want to know what I put in my cakes then send me a PM and I will let you know.Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0
