Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -
A really easy starter is roasted large flat mushrooms. Take flat mushrooms, drizzle with olive oil and any herbs/ spices of your choice, bake for about 20 minutes in a medium oven. Serve on a bed of salad leaves/watercress/or rocket. Can slice partially through them and fan out a bit. Looks nice and my local Italian charges £3.95. I got the idea from them, and frequently do them at home. Never fails, but maybe not the sort of thing you're after. You never get a second chance to make a first impression.0

I was going to suggest stuffed mushrooms too. Nice with crumbled feta and chopped olives too.May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0

How about a hummus with vegetable crudities. Could add extra lemon and coriander or maybe some grilled red pepper for a interesting twist to the hummus and some toasted pitta bread."A banker is a fellow who lends you his umbrella when the sun is shining, but wants it back the minute it begins to rain."
