    Hi all,

I'm declaring £212.44 for my total grocery shopping this month.

It's over budget, but not too bad all things considered.

Many thanks to everyone for being such an inspiration.

I will definitely try harder next month.

    Take care

Hi everyone, can I declare at £140.27 out of £140 please?

    :)

Amazed we just about made it, as £140 was a (reasonably educated) guess!

Thanks for cheery support, off to post on the July challenge now!

Managed, just! Spent £91 out of the 100,,but this did include 2 birthday cards and a couple of presents,so really could have a better figure.
This month i'm going to split the money in to catagories like fruit, veg, milk etc. to see if I can cut down more.
Pretty pleased though as it's the first time on this challenge so this is a start.

Declaring a spend of £87.74 from my June budget of £121 :T

And that's including stocking up all the tins, packets and freezer foods (including meat) I was missing to enable me to make up a meal plan for all of July ;) It's actually heavily based around food I've had stockpiled for a while, as I decided it's time to get some of it used up.......

Means that other than fresh foods for July (milk, bread, salad etc), I can use July's budget to start stockpiling meats for August (pretty much all I'll need for that month, apart from fresh stuff again) - and can also afford to "treat" DS for his 18th birthday, including giving consideration to going out for a meal (if I'm careful about where we decide to go) with my parents, DD and 2 young GDs out of this budget.

Off to update my signature for the start of a new month
