It was our wedding aniversary today (29 years:eek:) and we had a lovely meal of steak (in freezer from xmas) and new potatoes and broad beans from the garden. Feel very frugal (and full!!)
My pressy was to upgrade my iphone so we will be being frugal for a few more weeks yet:rotfl:
See you all on the July thread0 -
Evening everyone,
We have just had a storm and lots of rain here, after I had watered the garden!! JayJay14, I am also full with broad beans from the garden - yum. Congratulations, by the way! We had a salad with lettuce, the beans, basil and new potatoes from our garden, plus avocado and tomato.
Well I am declaring £342.56 for June.
July will be a challenge, a long month and the children will be on holiday for half of it.
See you all in July.

Hi all, sorry not been on for a while. Had to have our beloved dog put to sleep on thursday so it's been pretty hectic and sad in our house!
Haven't had time to work out all the spends this week and it's gone a bit haywire.....:o
On a more positive note we arrived home this afternoon to discover our pet rabbits had delivered us a wonderful suprise...4 babies!! (we thought we had 2 girl rabbits.. obviously not!!)
oh, the real reason I'm here..
Mrs Mc could you please me down for £200 for July please!
Hope everyone else is ok!"There's a little witch in all of us"🔮🪬🧿DEBT FREE 06/2018Mrs SD’s Decluttering 2025 ⭐️ 🥇0 -

Love the challenges - gonna keep all my receipts for July to see where my money goes.
Please put me down for £100 for July - that's just me and the cat but he is on expensive medical food - annoying fluffy monster that he is.
I'm going to include all food and household stuff and going out money in this - should be interesting as its my friends birthday 1st weekend in July so may have to be REALLY frugal for the rest of the month but I will try my best.0 -
We're declaring at £380 - bang on target.:j:j:j
Mrs M please put us down for £375 for July...
I had originally planned a MrT delivery for Tuesday evening but I'm going to cancel it. The reason being is that I've realised we have enough things in the freezer to last until Saturday. I ran into MrT today and grabbed bananas, apples, nectarines, milk and a few packets of crisps to see us through the week. I've warned the family that once it's gone it's gone and I'm not shopping again until the weekend so they've got to be sensible. I've hidden a few things in my secret hideaway in the garage and they'll come out later in the week if needed. :rotfl:
I love this challenge - when we first joined about 18 months ago we were spending about £600 month without realising and I'm now cooking a lot healthier food from scratch, padding things out with extra veg and handfuls of oats, bulk baking, planning a menu each week and growing my own veg:j.
See you all on the July thread.

Many thanks as always to Mrs Mcawber and rosieben for keeping the totals and recipes up to date. Good luck to everyone who's taking part this month.
