    Hi all,
Our month finishes on Sunday and we are still within the alloted 'household' target. I think some of the money will take us into the new month too if I am wise with it (huh unlikely as DS birthday is next week and I keep seeing wee things he'd like, cars/diggers/trucks mainly!).
We have a pepper plant, and I bought two small tomato ones (did not have time to sow own seeds for various reasons!), and also keeping an eye out for any at plant sales or the like. Anyone got any suggestions to what I can grow on a (sometimes warm, sometimes cool ) windowsill, other than peppers or toms or lettuce ? I have not sown my lettuce yet but hope to get DH to do that this weekend (he does not know yet but will bribe with buying him chippy chips lol! ;););)).
You are all doing well with the GC it seems this month, even if you are not hitting target at least you are trying to!
Hope all are enjoying the sunshine today and bye for now!

    Hi all,

    Congrats to searching me :j

Small spend today in C**P. For some bizarre reason they had loads of f&v reduced that was at least a couple of days 'in date'. Didn't go too mad, but did get a box of cherries, 2 packs of fine trimmed green beans (all whoopsied) plus 2 tins of dog food and a tub of coleslaw - own brand, reduced fat, only 34p. Also got a 3 happy hippo for the kids to have a playground treat after school.

Total spent £4.76 - have updated sig.

Have enough food in to last until Tuesday but will need to get some packed lunch bits over the weekend. My June month ends on Monday 22nd so really hoping I can manage to stick to budget this month - only have £72ish left.

    Have a good weekend everyone.

    searching_me - congratulations, that's fantastic news.:j

Well, I'm afraid I'm going to be over Budget, we've got friends staying over at the weekend and the decision has been made to have a BBQ as the Sun has decided to shine again so I will have to visit the Butchers tomorrow and then off to Asda for Wine, Lager etc etc and that's before I sort out a Birthday Tea on Sunday. Don't want to scrimp as it's a special occassion, will update my total on Monday when we've got the place back to ourselves.

Dinner tonight will be my usual Friday night fish, hm chips & mushy peas, always do this on a Friday as it's my one day off from cooking from scratch, pudding will be some of the fruit from Aldi with some Ice Cream.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend.:D

Only seems 5 minutes since you told us you were preggers.
Only spent £1.06 on milk yesterday, but OH has just ome home from work with a tray of 30 FR eggs for £3.00, so will add that in a minute.
Still sort of on target - but long way to go yet.

Have managed 3 NSDs in a row on the GC. Was hoping to stay out of the shops until next week but may have to grab a few bits over the weekend, as DD hasn’t stopped eating since she came home from school today!

In Tomorrow’s Daily Mail (80p) they are doing 5 MrT MOC - £1 off £5 spend for f&v, £1 off £5 spend for fresh meat, fish & poultry, £1 off £5 spend for frozen food, £1 off (unspecified amount) household cleaners & £1 off £5 spend on health & beauty. Sunday’s Mail will be £5 off £25 spend on non-grocery, so not as relevant.

Mr T has also just emailed me to advertise its £9 finest meal – main, side, dessert & wine. Choice seems a bit limited IMHO, but everyone likes something different & the wines are £7 a bottle, so if you treat yourself to a bottle of wine the meal is then only £2 – so it doesn’t matter! :p
