Another top up shop today & another £9.03 spent. Still nearly £35 left in the budget though & less than 3 weeks left, so plenty for fresh bits & bobs and any odd items I might need.

It has always been a bit of a challenge with DD’s pack-ups as she is not keen on sandwiches (or rolls, or wraps or anything like that), nor does she like cold pastry, so no quiche or pasties etc. But she does like salads & the cost is now reasonable, so today I bought some cherry toms for 88p, whole cucumber for 65p & whole iceberg for 50p.

Have some bits like carrots, celery & peppers to use up from last week’s batch cook & didn’t really want to do more soup in this weather. So I have been looking at some recipes for cold snacks to use them up.

Hi there - is this offer in Sainsbugs Muller lights or just the corners please? I checked on mysupermarket & it seems to be just on the corners:confused:

Will update spends soon as we are now officially in June :T

It appears to be only the corners, offer ends on the 2nd.

    Evening all

Have just done what was supposed to be my big shop, but Mr S was very very empty, got most bits, but couldnt get salmon and the fruit section was empty, so dont think i'll be going in the evening again.

Am currently at £88.37, so only really need fresh bits now, hopefully!

Please put me down for £300 for June.

Came in £27over budget last month due to a 5 week supermarket shop month & the milk lady turning up to be paid - she only comes every few months.

    Hi, can I join please.
I'd like to say £100,but I want to come in at a lot under that.I'm on my own and the £100 will cover food, toiletries and cleaning stuff. My main expenses are fruit and veg,not a veggie but not over keen on red meat.
Surely I should be able to manage this .
Please feel free to shout at me when I overspend :naughty:

I'm doing well, although it's just the first, I hoping to come under the 250 pound mark, I normally have 400 pounds budgit, this is for everything bar utilities & rent! But needs must, and we really need more savings towards a deposit for a house.

We have mega amounts of food in - so I'm going to update my food inventory, I've done a food plan, so will have chicken dinner on a Sunday then rubber it for Monday, make a soup OH bate & mine and DS (3) lunches, Tuesday is going to be our fish day, Wednesday is soup (daughter at ballet, so this is for ease), Thursday is pasta and Friday is red meat, with Saturday taken up with left overs or easy stuff, beans on toast, omelette etc.

We going to alternate between pizza, pies & quiche for Sunday Tea, making double to use for pack lunches!

I already cook from scratch so that's not a problem.

I have to order/pay for school uniforms for September as they take our school ages to arrive, that's going make a big dent in my budget. So really have to be very frugal, and keep away from the food shops!

Had a very bad month (I blame the alcoholic BBQs!:p) in May so will try harder for June!

Can I put down £300 for June please!

    Thanks,

    BM
  • Didn't buy any groceries today but this evening when it had cooled off a bit I took dd bowling then to kfc. I left one of my Asda reduced meals for the rest of the family to eat. My dd had her 2 bowling games free thanks to 2 vouchers I had from a book of vouchers I bought. Then oir kfc meals were reduced also with vouchers so our total spend this evening was just under £14. That was her halfterm treat as she has had nothing all week. The vouchers save me just under £10 so I had a nice cheap evening.
Annual Grocery budget 2018 is £1500 pa £125 calendar month £28.84 pw for 3 adults

Oh dear I was planning no shopping until next weekend but had to pick up lettuce, pepper, red onion and baked beans for the Jacket Spuds with salad that we had for dinner... so a £1.49 spend. AND I will need sultanas before the week is out. Oh dear..
