I was wanting to do this do, and have managed a little. Also the shelf under the sink was groaning (its collapsed before!). Before I went south I cleared space under the stairs (should really use the cupboard but its full of craft stuff for card making, knitting etc lol), and so have put the extra bottles of detergent, boxes of pasta, cartons of juice etc (heavy stuff) and other bits and bobs in there. We have more room for movement now and I can see what is there better too. Helps me see what we need to stock up on (beans, washing liquid) when on offer and what we don't need (washing liquid/powder, crisps, juice lol!).
Anyway, still got my £80 left (DH treated us to cones yesterday and we did not spend anything else as we went for a drive and then to the play park- car has diesel left in from trip south), although will need bread soon and perhaps if I see anything on offer I may get it. Likely will only be shopping locally though so its only the Coop, Butchers and small grocers to chose from ;).
Might check the recipes later as needing some new ideas......xx

Apologies for this so early in the day.... but...

angelatgraceland - yes, I've got a Mooncup! I've also got an IUD, and am a bit scared of pulling the darn thing out after both my mother AND sister managed to pull theirs out.... lol! :) So I've migrated to sewing my own, and they're all multicoloured and stripey (and free!) and make me smile every time I use them :) That's a few quid a month saved anyway, it all adds up! :)

Nothing spent so far for me in June :)
  • Well it's the 1st of the month and I have already spent £83.43 on shopping in ASDA!!! I have bought what I need for the month though, I should just need to get fresh each week now.

  • Hello Everyone,

I managed a NSD on Saturday, and yesterday spent £8.50 in the local supermarket, we were visiting friends and I couldn't go without taking a wee treat.

I still have some things off my menu planner to buy but I am planning on being extra good and only buying whats on the list.

    Just popping into update spends.

I've been to Sainsburys to make the most of my moc and to take advantage of the muller yogurt offer. Spent £19.32 this included 48 muller yogurts which should last the month. Also managed to pick up some tinned pineapple as last time I tried to buy it the didn't have any in stock, as well as top up the fruit bowl (DS has once again consumed everything)

Hi there - is this offer in Sainsbugs Muller lights or just the corners please? I checked on mysupermarket & it seems to be just on the corners:confused:

    Hello,

Just got back from MrT and spent £30.99 of which £6 on whoopsie meat for the freezer and £2.98 on hay fever tablets. Very pleased that aside from the whoopsies I stuck rigidly to my list. Quiche and salad for tea tonight - nommy.

    Have a good day everyone.
