Marine_life wrote: »ok, just to make sure all ends of the sectrum are covered I will post my figures - not to brag (so please no flaming :silenced:). It is what it is:
Basic gross pay is currently £24,000 per month or £288,000 per year. I also have a variable element which last year was around £200,000. So in total just under £500,000 per annum gross. Net is around half of that.
I am an accountant.
I haven't been earning that sort of money for a long time and have had a couple of significant financial disasters, but I am now pouring money into savings with the hope of retiring early.
For anyone who is interested I can share with you some more details of how I got there and what are some of the pitfalls to avoid.
