It's a bit sad really isn't it, so insecure with their life that they have to post on an anonymous forum exaggerating how much they earn.
Strange, isn't it.
On every forum i've ever belonged too, i've always been the opposite. I've always viewed the anonymity of the internet as a reason to be completely, brutally honest. Admitting to things that would be too embarrassing in real life.
It doesn't matter how much of a loser I come across, because i'm just a screename!
Anyway, unemployed as of recently. Not claiming JSA, so earning the princely sum of zero pounds.
Job hunting now. Only ever worked in warehouse jobs. Pay is always around £15k per year. Looking forward to death!0 -

Why are you not claiming JSA? You're entitled to it!
Some people claim it as a way of life - you will just be using it as financial help between jobs (which is its purpose).0 -
What do you guys figure as to an MBA helping out with income/career sideways move?
JasX, thanks!0 -
I work from home 25 hours a week as a senior researcher for motor industry earn 11k a year not great money but I can work those hours at anytime I want Mon-Friday as long as its before 9pm and after 8:30AM thus allowing me total flexibility around the kids and employed so pension holidays sick pay and I get a monthly contribution towards my internet costs and phone costs are through there system. Before people inbox where I work which most do when I tell them, its like any job you need experience and qualifications in the industry before you'd be considered we are a small company of around 100 people across UK. My husband works as a transport planner in logistics for co-op and earns 24k a year. We live in East Midlands0

I recently started a new business venture and although the income to start may be slow it can increase into a lot if the time and effort is put in, I have a number of friends who have retired early on this and have been doing it for about 10 years. I am a Distributor, not of catalogues but something else that everybody has and as the prices are cheaper than competitors its just about gaining the trust of customers that small companies are in it for the long term as with any others.:)0

That's interesting to know, more than a teacher in the first few years (at least) of being qualified.

Depends. My wife has an MBA and earns less than the average wage for the work she does but she works in the charity sector so that is probably why.
She earns around £28k as a senior manager but it is in the North East of England so relatively good for the location. If she moved into a similar role, for example in Education she would be on easily £40k+
