Maybe they have a big mortgage?0 -
I have a clear grocery budget and a mortgage free mission, plus 3 secondary school aged children. When we were mortgage free (pre forever house) we became less frugal but I think its good to show our children how to manage money and to not be wasteful plus I like my holidays and I am very clear about if we can't afford we don't buy, choosing to save rather than borrow.

Business Analyst, 23, £25 000. Public sector, so 41 days holiday and all the other perks, good work/life balance.0

41 days! Are you including bank holidays in that total?
I think it might be 40 or 40.5 come to think of it, should probably check.
30 normal + 8 bank + 2 or 2.5 privilege days.
My jaw dropped when I was told, previous role was 31 days, so big jump. Although I don't think that figure is outrageous for more senior roles, both public and private sector.
Flexitime is the best perk for me, being able to have a Friday afternoon off in summer is heaven.0 -

Hi annie_d. Glad to find a fellow sister.
Nobody in this country is ever likely to be mortgage free, as the whole country is mortgaged to the hilt.
