Aviation has never been suitable for passengers with disabilities. Other forms of transport are much more suitable - and while I agree that disabled people should be accomodated, it is quite honestly impractical to expect the aviation sector to be fully accessible for disabled passengers. The current arrangements work.

Sorry PBS but you are clearly wrong here. AFAIK all 737-800 used by Ryanair have built in stairs at the front door. And yes, those stairs are steeper and more narrow than the stairs normally provided by the airport.

As for your comments about aviation not suitable for passengers with disabilities I would like to know what you base that opinion on. If a person is to travel from Scandinavia to Spain what other form of transport would be more suitable? Short travel time is one key requirement as sitting in a wheel chair for 48 hours in a bus or a train can give you lots of problems...

Love from Poland seems a bit excluding I would say...
