First you ridicule because of what happened, now you ridicule because we got something for persisting.
People onhere really should take a reality check and maybe look at the bigger picture of banks and such like making mistakes and becoming responsible for their actions.0 -

Well it wasn't you we were complaining about was it, besides maybe you should start complaining then maybe you wouldn't be so miserable about things :rotfl:0 -

Good luck with Nat West but i doubt you will gain anything from the complaint. Get hold of an accounting system for your girlfriend such as MS Money. She needs to keep a close eye on how much is coming in the account and just as importantly how much she is spending. Take this from someone who has been there, not one day goes by me now that I don't check and update my accounts. To not know how much you have in your account today with the software available or even a simple accounting book is no excuse and Nat West will more than likely give you an apology but nothing else as they will expect you to be keeping concise accounts.
EDIT: You were very lucky, now its time to track your account
Wow, I got 3 *, when did that happen :j:T:p

I live in my head - I find it's safer there:p

£30 is an attempt to get rid of you. If they had really been at fault it would have been in the hundreds.
The banks get a lot of flak (some of it valid) but they are also too quick to pay out these £10-£50 sums when no fault is there because its cheaper for them to do that than continue to point out your faults.
All it does is encourage stupid complaints over non-issues and create costs that decent normal customers will end up having to pay for.
Good for you in getting the £30 but I still believe they were wrong to do it.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. i think it costs the banks like £500 everytime someone takes a case to the FOS, even if the FOS find in the bank's favour...Kavanne

Closer to £400.
It's a stupid way to fund the service, as it encourages banks to a) settle complaints in un-justified ways to try and avoid the fee and b) encourages banks to push for settlement from customers, when they might get a better response from the FOS.What would William Shatner do?0
