Bought the dongle with the discount near end of May emailed about the refund after a week, they said it'll show after a couple of working weeks, last week another polite email sent to ask about the refund and was told it'll be refunded in 7 working days. Received my refund today. (Previously checked online account said the discount was applied on 13th and refund was on 17th, I had bought mine on 28th May.)

Bought item near end of May, received refund near end of June....not sure if i'll be buying with them in near future, i don't like the fact they just can't take out the invoice amount and get to use my money as they want for a month before giving it back.........although may be tempted if the deal is as good as this ;)

I was told another lie today that my refund was apparently applied (again!) on 16th so we shall see. I think they are liars. I was told it was applied on the 29th before. I will never buy anything from them again on principle

I had another email from them saying the refund had gone through and i should wait 14 days (again). It's like a broken record, they've lied and lied again.

Why should i wait another 14 days when I've already waited a month! What's with the 14 days anyway, I'm sure they'd change their attitude if it was me that owed them the money.

I shall wait till Monday and go see the CAB. I wouldn't buy anything from them again, no matter what the deal.

Well after numerous emails, I finally got a phone call from Littlewoods yesterday after my last email to them explaining I was about to do a chargeback for £10 if I did not get a reply from them.

The lady who called me was appologetic and explained the system had not applied the refund as the item purchased fell under £10 with the new VAT reduction. I basically gave her my opinion on crap their online purchase experience was .....

Anyway she agreed to apply the refund and said it would take 2-3 working days for me to see the credit, and hoped I will continue shopping at Littlewoods.

    We shall see...

Am I missing something here? It seems you can get this dongle free by buying from O2 and going through Quidco.

Price from O2 is £14.67 until 29th June
Topup £15 to qualify for Quidco cashback

    Quidco cashback given is £29.67

Free dongle and first month usage free.

don't think you're missing anything troublegum. i spotted this o2/quidco offer too and have placed an order. not only does it mean a free dongle it also means a month's legitimate free mobile broadband on o2 (no messing about with iphone sims etc). a condition to qualify for the quidco cashback (which is effectively what makes this a freebie) is that you must top up the dongle with £15 within 30 days. i think i'll order a second one, top it up just before the 30 day deadline and effectively get two months free broadband

Have been playing with the o2 dongle as I actually needed to use it, broadband down. It sees the o2 network with signal between 'very low' and 'low', moving it around can keep it at 'low'. It tries to connect but never succeeds. Now, I know that in this locality the t-mobile signal is good, so I tried a t-mobile SIM. The dongle does not seem to see any other networks apart from 02 even after I added access point info for t-mobile.

    Questions:

    - Are other users of this dongle able to connect to o2 with 'low' signal?

    - I read on this thread that this dongle (the E160) is unlocked. So I tried adding the access point info given earlier in this thread. Does it have a chance of working using o2's software or should I download the generic Huawei connection software also pointed to earlier in this thread?

    Cheers!
