I had a £12 charge - which I paid by debit card the same day - and to be fair no matter how much - I did go over my limit.

They did upgrade me to a Gold Card 3 months later - so not sure if its had an effect

Good stuff, it didn't have a neg impact on your CF :T. Still £12 is alot of money!

I'm not complaining - Vanquis gave me a chance to improve my Credit Report - I then got an Aqua Card - only had it a month and was accepted for The Accessory Card a couple of weeks ago - still waiting for it to arrive to find out my limit. My defaults should drop off next year - so happy days :o)

HA HA HA! Good point! There was a pic on these forums a few weeks back, but I can't find the link! Someone posted a scanned pic of a mailshot they recived, the new design was a kind of powdery blue with the new Vanquis bank logo in the top left corner.

Most of the time no-one gets to see the card as you just stick it in the chip and pin thingy, having said that, when you get upgraded to gold it is a sign of improved credit.

I got my card a couple of weeks ago and it has the swirly design on it, no mention of Vanquis on the front, it just says VISA.

Congrats on the Vanquis acceptance Rose
