Vanquis Card??

Aplied for a vanquis card a few months ago but did not get accepted online just said they would contact me, a few days later they called while i was at work on house numner and mobile maybe 3 times per day! I got annoyed in the end as felt a bit harrased sp took none of the calls(stupid)! after 3 weeks i got a letter saying i had been unsuccessfull do you guys think i got accepted and they just wanted to go through the sales spill or needed extra info?? just wondering if anyone here has had same things happen with vanquis? i may re apply

Were you definitely declined when you applied? Did you get and email saying as such? Or were told you'd be contacted at a later date? As far as i understand it, they'll call you if you've been accepted. They phoned me numerous times, but i kept missing call due to work.

But i'm not sure, i'm only going by personal experience.

TBH yes, it sounds like you had been accepted. Why didn't you answer the phone if you thought it may of been them?

You have to wait 6 months between applications.

no was not definitely declined they emailed me a credit agreement 1st after the online app, then the calls started 2 days later...so im thinking i might have been accepted

No, if he'd been approved subject to telephone verification and he missed their calls, he can write in and appeal the decline.

But to be honest, if you apply for a card and then see witheld numbers on your phone or similar, it'd be a good idea to answer at least one of them!

I'd say write in explaining you were very busy and ask why you tried to ring me, if i'd been successful can this please stand? See how you get on.

Yes, i also suggest he writes in to appeal. Sounds very much like he was accepted subject to telephone veification but later declined as they couldnt get hold of him

Vanquis accepted me! £500 limit!

At long last, I applied on the 5th and only got a response today and thats because I call up, bloomin eck', lol

Im so sad, getting excited over debt!!!

So anyone know the best way for vanquis to increase your limit, what kind of spending pattern do they look for? Im not looking to spend more than about £50 a month then pay it back in full!
