Holiday prices gone through the roof !!

Is it me or people finding that this years holiday prices have ALL gone through the roof ??
We arent exactly newbies to holidays, but are seriously struggling for something this summer.
As a guide, I have priced the exact same hotel, exact same date, same board basis, same travel agent, same everything as last year and it is over 40% higher this year than last.
Looking everywhere, all over the world, it seems to be the same problem.
Simply cannot find anything that I dont deem to be a rip off
Maybe I have been spoiled by great deals in the past

I agree. I'm just trying to book my holiday for September and its about 1/3 more on the price at least.0

You were spoiled by an overvalued £ for a number of years.0

Totally agree - even the so called last minute deals are more expensive.
Probably why UK Holidays are at an all time high.
Late deal would 8 - 10 weeks before departure. The only deal you find now are going within a week!!!0 -
I am finding things a lot cheaper this year! Have you looked at DIY rather than using a travel agent?Gone ... or have I?0

I don't think we'll even get one this year the way things are going.

The holiday to Orlando we went on last year is near enough exactly the same price this year.
Car hire however is about 1/3 more.0 -
I am pretty confident there are hundreds of thousands of package holidays ready to be released over the next 2 months.
Stay with it and it will happen.
