You are not alone! I've just had a 30% pay cut and major increase in workload due to redundancies and the stress/ anxiety I'm experiencing is sometimes unbearable (in particular muscle tension). Will probably go back on citalopram but I'm beginning to think I need to change my thinking and stop worrying about money troubles and get on with life..

    Hi

    Another setback.
Just had a phone call rejecting me for another job, and it was only a part time cleaning job!!!

Talk about a blow to your confidence.
Still awaiting news from the other job.

Hope things work out for you Johnny.

Edit: Still no sign of my JSA payment and main cc/loan payments almost due, sigh.
Phoned Jobcentre, an error at their end and hopefully they will release my payment today.

    It never rains.....

hiya sorry to hear about the job rejection and lets hope the other one is good news for you ;o)

there has been a few posts recently of how money matters are affecting peoples health and it is so sad to hear, you must must take care of yourself and health. My oh suffers from M.E. (or otherwise known as CFS) this was brought on 3 years ago when we started having money worries and his body went into fight or flight, he lost his hair and nearly his mind, we have spent a lot of time at docs and different sorts of therapists to get him back to health. When we went br in Jan it seemed like an enormous weight lifted off and now he is in recovery and only just starting to socialise a bit again as it caused huge anxiety problems.

so what am I say - please please take care of your health fore most and seek help in anyways possible

    Hi everyone

Just heard that I got the job I went for.
Is only minimum wage and is on a 3 month trial basis, but at least it gives me a fighting chance.

As the pay is monthly and I am living on next to nothing at the moment I may have to miss minimum payments for a month or two, though I am hoping to avoid that.

Would missing one or two payments have any major consequences, or just late payment fees?

Anyway, I start work Monday night, hope it goes well.

Thank you all for your continued support.

That's fantastic; but don't make the same mistake I did.

Remember, that the first things your income goes on is rent, utilities and food. And then your family. Then a little bit in your back burner for the odd night out each month with the mates.

What you have left over is for your creditors NO MORE!

I had exactly the same mentality as you ensuring to make my minimum payments atleast as a matter of course but leaving myself short for what actually mattered in life, and continuing to make those minimum payments had only one result:

More credit being offered or in some cases bigger limits just automatically applied to accounts without my permission. You don't need that.

Tell your creditors what you can realistically afford, and if they don't like it, tough titties. It's what you have. Go through income and expenditure with the CCCS and they will tell you what is best for you - it may be that they contact your creditors for you to agree a reduced payment plan for those with crippling payments, maybe an IVA, maybe bankruptcy, but whatever they suggest, go with it. You and your family deserve your hard earned cash more than greedy creditors!

Just remember - none of your creditors have a legal right to what you can prove you can't afford
