Good morning. It's warm & sunny here for the time being but rain & thunder forecast later today  I'll make the most of the sun while I can.
DS1 & DD just gone to the out of hours doctor as DS1 has a cough that's not clearing up, a temperatre and he was awake for most of the night with it. Hopefully they'll sort him out with antibiotics of he needs them.
A quiet day planned just pottering in the garden, some ironing and tidying up to do. I've polished everywhere just need to vac it & mop the floors now. I'll get some time to cross stitch later I hope. Soup & naan for tea this evening with a fresh fruit salad that I made last night. It should be lovely today now the flavours have had time to 'sit'.
((((((((((hugs)))))))))) where needed. Sybil - Hope you are surviving your Fathers visit. Diva - How are you?
Have a great day everyone however you're spending it.0 -
Morning all - its been a while since I was on the daily but I am back to being a flylady so thought I'd come back (if you will all have me that is!)
Lots of cleaning to do today, going to get the kids to help which will be fun!
Nan is in hospital and hopefully being discharged today but if not we will go up and visit her.
DS back in nursery tomorrow so I am hoping to take DD to the zoo tomorrow, just me and her if the weather stays nice.
Hope everyone is well, hugs for all x x xPay Debt by Xmas 16 - 0/12000

Morning all,
Lovely day here today, warm and sunny, even a few days of this would be nice.
Nothing really planned, DD2 will be taking my car to visit some of her friends this afternoon so may just stay in garden and do a bit of weeding or some of the million chores which need doing out there.
We are having spaghetti bolognese for dinner to-day, got some mince this morning to make sauce, will use other half to make shepherds pie for later in the week, seem to have been running round like a headless chicken for weeks so would like a return to something like normality.
As I type, the kittens are wrecking the room and DGD3 (15 mths) is shouting at them and trying to play with them....just hope that one of them doesn't scratch her...she insists that they are 'wow wows' no matter what anyone says.
Hugs to all who are in need or want, congratulations to all who are celebrating, good luck to all who are doing exams, welcome to all newbies

Morning :hello:
Have decided after months of nagging the twins about their room that they may have a fighting chance of keeping the mess under control if I gut the room. So far I have one bin bag for the dump and one for charity. Unfortunately the puppy thinks I am getting toys out for her so is systematically emptying the bin bags.
Was up at six this morning and due to the rain, had to take my usual morning garden coffee in the greenhouse. We have 2 more fledgling blackbirds out of the nest this morning and struggling to fly. That's 5 so far this year and I can hear plenty more in the nests. The parents are still feeding them but I'm keeping an eye out for cats.
After I've finished the room I need to make a few officey phione calls.
YS cod with HG parsley sauce for tea. I do so love watching the girls pick all the green bits out of their dinner.
Brownie night so need to do tea in 2 sittings. Will probably go to Lidl and Aldi while they are out as it's hardly worth coming home for just over an hour.
Hope your DS is better soon Sunnygirl.
Good luck to yours Hillstep
Get well soon JackieO
Well done on the profit Ruby
halight, your posts certainly take me back to when my two first got mobile. They say you can child proof a house but never twin proof it as they always help eachother out to get where they're not supposed to be. I remember an incident with a tin of Roses in particular. Once they could walk they gave eachother a leg up onto things so could never be out of my sight.
Bye for now

Morning -still nice here, the dog is sunning himself on the back grass.
Yesterday I transferred my tomato plants into a gro bag but could do with a couple more yet, this warm weather should speedthings up a bit now-its not really been that warm until yesterday.DH cut the grass,it looks so much better but it had been too wet for about 2 weeks to do it.Next door havent done theirs at all this year-its about a foot high with more dandelion clocks than grass
The wedding we were going to on Saturday has been cancelled as they have both decided they don't want to get married.I'm glad I hadnt yet bought a pressie,or a new outfit. Its a shame- i like them both,we've known the young lady all her life and she was in DS2s class at primary school, still better now than after the wedding.
It would be nice to barbecue tonight,as I have salmon for tea-unforunately our gas barbie seized up and had to be chucked.
Halight - The Famous Five were my very favourites, and i still have quite a few.I believe the original hardbacks can fetch quite a price these days.I still read my old Enid Blytons sometimes.I'm sure reading her books turned me into a bookworm when I was young
Have a nice day everyone, welcome new people.x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -
Afternoon!! Well its v hot here now, started off with rain but at the mo its bbq weather again!! Just hung some washing on the line, its one of those retractable lines and we dont have a prop so the trousers are nearly on the gravel, but mum has just texted me saying my dad is gonna make me a prop, yay!!
Walked the dogs, they werent impressed by the heat and older dog was v slow, aww.
Was gonna do a roast chicken dinner today but just remembered we bought some ready prepared wedges reduced in Morrisons on Friday, so I think I will do the chicken and have it with them instead and some coleslaw and salad maybe.
Not much else planned for today really, we have a little dog boarding with us for today only so he will be collected later on, he is v cute!!
Talking of Famous Five books, I have some of the original hardbacks in the loft I think, or definately Enid Blyton books, some with the shiny picture covers and some with the plain covers. Wonder if they will be worth much? Goes off to ebay to see...

Good Afternoon All. Had lovely weekend in Norfolk with our church - weather was fantastic, and whole thing was very relaxing. DH has spent a couple of hours taking several car-loads of junk from our garage up to the tip this morning. I've turned an old sleeping bag into a couple of dog beds (not quite as strenuous, but at least I showed willing!) I did start out helping with the garage, but kept rescuing things, and then I hit my head twice on the same shelf, so was sent indoors out of the way! Thought it was going to rain earlier, but only a few spots. Three loads of washing dried so far, last about to be hung out. Today DS1 would have been 36, so last of the "memorable" days in May for another year.
Halight, I too used to devour the Famous Five books in my childhood, and reread several last summer. I know loads of folk are unkind about Enid Blyton - but she did get loads of us reading books!
Hope you are all enjoying the Bank Holiday wherever you are.Resolution:
Think twice before spending anything!0 -
Halight - Another Enid Blyton fan here :T I read them all time & time again and read the entire set of Famous Five to my DS2 over the summer last year. He loves them too. Save them so you can read them to your twins when they're older
I'm currently reading the 6th Harry Potter book to my DS3 it's a lovely time spent together, just us, each evening and it doesn't cost a penny :money:
It's cloudy and very muggy here now so I'm inside. I was cross stitching but broke off to do a batch of Twinks hobnobs. I've already burnt my mouth tasting one straight out of the oven:eek:

Afternoon! It's brightened up here so I've just hung out the towels &got the bedding in:D Going to sit outside &mark some tests in a bit, just treated myself to a cake for my coffee but was a huge disappoinment-think I should have saved the 60p to go towards equipment to make my own! Got my toms &cucumber into the grow bag this morning, it's all so exciting. Going to try to grow some salad leaves too-a pack of seeds for £1 that should get me through the summer.:j
