Actually dial-up seems to be just as (or more than) expensive as broadband. I suppose they are just taking advantage of those "rich" people living out in the sticks.

I forgot dial up hogs the phone line..............whoops.

So, it looks like i'll be ordering that wireless dongle thing unless someone has a horror story about it. Could possibly do dial-up, but need a cheap deal and of course no 12 month contracts, any advice?

go into your local vodafone shop today (last day of offer) purchase a usb dongle for £39...at the moment they're giving an extra Gb of download so you effectively get 2Gb which will not expire...subsequent topups will cost £15 per Gb...yes...some will say more expensive than 3 or O2...but it doesnt expire AND theres no contract...if its only for a short while....use it, forget it when you're done and sell the dongle perhaps...

http://www.3dongle4free.co.uk/ - Has anyone actually ordered and used one of these?

    Just read the small print:

"Mobile broadband available to pay as you go customers who convert a top-up to a broadband add-on".

I'm just wondering if that means only available to current customers......

When you mean, doesn't expire, do you actually mean that i could have continued to use it until the 3gb ran out, no matter what date it is (or was)??

Anyhow, I read that too late, especially with it being Sunday when everything shuts down early. :(
