Internet for 2-3months???

I use ADSL24, 1 month rolling contracts, no cancellation fees, uk call centre and decent speeds:-

Thanks for that. But unfortunately 1 month on the cheapest package works out at £73, and that's not including the ADSL stuff I'd have to buy.
So perhaps mobile broadband would be best after all. How is it possible to check the network coverage and work out how much it would cost to stay on-line basic browsing (just email & forums etc.) for 1 hour??
Thanks again.Instigated terrorism the road to dictatorship.0 -

Perhaps your best option may be a Dial Up connection, very slow, but it will work, and do what you want.0 -
Infidel, one of the best things about mobile BB (in my opinion) is that time spent online does not count, it is your usage that they charge you on. If you get a prepaid 3-months 3gb dongle, it will last either until the 3 months is up or you have used up your 3gb allowance, whichever is earlier.
I bought a prepaid 12gb dongle last September, I still have almost 3gb remaining, so 1gb per month is ideal for me. I don't play games or watch long films, but I do watch a few YouTube videos.
On the other hand, some people say that they could use 12gb in two weeks!Who having known the diamond will concern himself with glass?

http://www.3dongle4free.co.uk/ - So I take it this previous link is the best deal I'll get (if I can get it to work).
Incidentally, does anyone know what happened to Virgins £10 a month Unlimited Broadband (2MB). As I had a quick browse on their website and couldn't find it.Instigated terrorism the road to dictatorship.0 -
I don't want to use topups, and would not get this free dongle as apparently it does not work too well with LINUX.
The 3gb prepaid costs around £49.99, but prices change all the time and you may be able to find a better offer.
I got 24gb prepaid for £118.24 recently from Dixons.Who having known the diamond will concern himself with glass?

What's wrong with the PAYG dongle thing from "3 internet"? I have Windows Vista.
Where can you get the 3gb 3 months prepaid one from?Instigated terrorism the road to dictatorship.0 -
The "3g starter kit" can be bought from the usual suspects such as PC World, Dixons, Curry .. even Argos and of course 3 shops.
However, it pays to shop around and look out for special offers. It started at £99.99 I believe and Dixons now sell it for £49.99. Argos have it at £58.49.
The cheapest offers may have an old style dongle.Who having known the diamond will concern himself with glass?

Noooooooo! I'm still no nearer to deciding what to do, and now I only have about 24 hours.
Where can one get a dial-up disc these days??
