Feeling quite proud of myself. After finishing today's list and my personal extras, I decided to see if Martin's ThriftyWays book was available in the library. It wasn't available in our local one, but was available at Bognor, so I drove over and got that book out and Frugal Living for dummies. Got home, and we'd had a power cut, so I read them both. Power's been on for a bit now, so I've managed to meal plan and write the shopping list for the whole of June, so hopefully this will cut down on my spending on food this month. Have looked through all of my cupboards first to find ingredients, so a couple of weeks only need a few bits and pieces like salad to be bought. Will be off to the gym in a little bit to go to aqua, so probably won't be online again today, so take care everyone and enjoy your evenings.

    See you all tomorrow,

    sexymouse xx

sarahshattered I totally sympathise, had acrimonious divorce myself and even though he'd done a flit when DD 3 months old, still swaggered about as though the world owed him a living. Will pray. You don't think straight in that situation, tell her heroin addicts get to keep their kids, so she doesnt have a problem in that direction. (not a comment on heroin addicts BTW)

gfh/sarahs - snap, still dealing with !!!!!! 10 years down the line. The best thing I can say about my ex is that he hasnt tried to get custody, because that would spoil his lifestyle. I'm sure she'll be fine and I've been sending her positive vibes all day. Failing that, I'm in a bit of a mood, so could travel south with a baseball bat to take care of his new car ;):D

Oh and it took my neighbour 3 years to get custody of his DD from his herion addict ex who was shacked up with a drug dealer (who was banned from seeing his own kids :eek::eek: ) Seriously, you could not make this lot up!

Flying wise, may I have a star for Tuesday soappie when you get a moment please? I dont think I'll get much more done this week :o

he hasnt tried to get custody, because that would spoil his lifestyle.

thereby hangs MANY a tale...funny how quickly they get used to 'living the single life' again...

Flying wise I have a shiny bathroom and a letter from Severn Trent telling me the water is going off overnight on sunday (from 9pm) and during the day Tuesday (from 9am) Tues isn't bad really...will have to plan tea accordingly - ah I think I have a use for the Shepherds pie in the freezer.

    I have bought baby wipes...

What about some of that sanitizing hand gel stuff? I have some - it's especially useful for when you are forced to use one of those disgusting public loos where you feel lingering in there to wash your hands will just make you more dirty! I only use them in dire emergencies, and the hand gel is just the thing!

I am completely done in, keep looking at the mess in my LR and not got the slightest bit of energy to deal with it. I have until 12 tomorrw when my support worker is coming.

I have a bottle of hand gel in the car, a spare in my toiletries box (for they were on BOGOF) and a little aerosol one in my handbag!

No... you really couldn't. It's horrible when it's horrible iyswim. It really makes me appreciate my parents who divorced when I was little, but always showed a united front when it came to us kids. No mucking about, straightforward access/maintenance etc, never any point scoring off each other, or bad mouthing the other. Fair play to em.

I didn't realise any of this until I was 18 and heard Dad talking to Mum, and saying " she's 18 now, I don't have to do as you say with regard to any of the children any more" :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
