I'll need to try and not do any more searches either. I ordered a copy of my credit report a few days ago and I'm not looking forward to seeing it. I think I may have a tad bit much seaches on there.

    This month?!

LOL I've been worrying about my 5-6 this year. I'm sure it's roughly 5-6, as far as I can remember.

I'll need to start keeping a diary of when I apply for any sort of credit. :rotfl:

just done it with all mine and o/h's accounts.all increased.400 average.
one sting in the tail and interesting fact.
two of mine are direct debit in order to lower apr.i have changed banks and dd's three weeks ago.got sdg confimation of change letters.
my littlewoods direct is my oldest account and dd due today.
With my Littlewoods direct I pay the opt out payment each time so no interest. Pay on getting statement.
The others are interest free anyway.
In your opinion do you think they prefer the D/d option in order to get further increases or just carry on the way I am,
Congrats on ALL your increases

Thanks Cif :) May I ask how long you've been with Next for and how are they on limit increases? Also do you know if they are open weekends as I am worried I'll have my account taken away on Monday and they realise they've made a mistake :rotfl:
YEs they are open on weekends. I have had my account for over 2 years. Credit limits are something of a mystery - they vary wildly from month to month. Mine was £3600 a while back before they reduced it to £1500. Other FMs have reported the same thing.

direct debit has had no difference in our case at all.i payed littlewoods direct the opt out amount and i think that delayed increases, although that was my first account so cant gauge that as well.
another thing ive sort of proved, remember we have a lot of accounts,is that they are happy if you take multiple accounts.
i think to be shown as responsable lenders and to stay within guidelines they work like this....they set an initial limit lets say 1000 as in o/h's original cat.they wont let you go over for anything, you have to buld your limit.1600 within a month in o/h's case.however at the very same time of openning ,or after they will give you three more cats with the same or higher limit,as they did with o/h.
i think its a way they can justify large accounts.we know they treat each cat seperatley.that must help them too. .ie look at one account 1000 limit, responsable lending.all other accounts are judged on own merit.where as 4100 initial limit would look bad for them as responsable lenders.
in my case they did much the same.

ive been lucky so far,no reduction but slow increases.
this weeks increase came straight after my card was refused in store, the cashier had to phone them to do security check.
