Vista to XP

So...if your vista pc is pre-July 2009, you will need to buy a W7 Update version, yes ?? And what sort of prices are being toted for that ?? Also, if you are on XP, will the W7 upgrade path apply as well, or will you be looking at a retail copy & prices ??
Bear in mind that not all PC's sold from the end of June onwards will be eligible, but I'd expect the big names to be in the scheme and touting it with a lot of noise.
Users of Windows XP are eligible to use upgrade versions, although you can't do an upgrade installation; it has to be a clean one. Personally, I think that's not a negative thing.
I'm not sure if the Upgrade paths have been released yet, if not I'm sure they'll be released with the prices in a couple of weeks time. I'd expect a retail version of Home Premium to come in at around about £150.0
