I can't imagine what your daughter and you are going through - well, I can imagine, but I *know* it doesn't come close to what its really like for you. Just coping with surviving can feel like its too much sometimes. A girly evening is a great idea, within the safety of the family. Hope you can enjoy it.

Hi I am still around been a tough week but I have persuaded my daughter to come away with us for two out of the three weeks her partner has made no effort to join us so he will remain at home together with her brother who doesn't want to come. So we will be off on Thursday. Still have to have two letters from Social Services to take our little girl they have promised them by Tuesday we will see.

Still not got our mortgage approval they don't like the way we are paid and offered us £15K :rotfl:the broker went back to them with further explanations but nobody followed it up with the underwriters so on Thursday he sent them an email we may know on Monday not sure which way it will go never had problems before remortgaging before even with 89K of credit card debt just shows how they are being more picky. Have an appointment with the accountant on Monday which means I have to finish the accounts tomorrow I always need to put myself under pressure to get things done its just the way I am :o

I have loads to do before I go away including a trip to Congleton on Monday and a trip to Leicestershire on Tuesday to take my Mom to my sisters so I shall need a holiday by the time I get there just hope I can find room for all the sachets I need to take:eek:

You won't get rid of me as we have wifi in the villa :T

Hi DT, glad she has agreed to go, Mums know best, its just not always that we realise it :kisses3:
  • Well been to the accountant's so that's sorted for another year and no tax to pay :jalthough that's because our income keeps reducing so :( boo to that.

The building society have asked for more information but at least they haven't turned us down ............. yet the broker is certainly earning his money this time :)

I have bought/ordered the kids' school uniform except for shoes as my little boy's feet seem to be going through a growth spurt at the moment as they had grown between ordering and collecting his sandals so going to wait until we get back from holiday.

Sorted out my Mom's packing/washing ready for her to leave tomorrow. Bought everything needed for the holiday which isn't much except I am having a clothes crisis I can manage with tops just wearing them extra baggy but the bottoms are falling off me have no jeans that fit me even with a belt but decided I can manage with ordinary trousers/skirts but desperately need a couple pairs of shorts with elasticated waist as I am still hourglass shaped not having any joy at the moment been everywhere round here so will have to try in the Midlands when I drop Mom off the cheaper the better as I won't be wearing them next year as they will be too big :T

Have to do some charity work before I leave including transferring some money and sending an update to all sponsors/donors so that will take quite a while. Also need to get charity accounts to auditor but these are done just need to separate out the bank statements and write a Trustee's report - me leave things to the last minute never :D

All holiday things booked now just need to get these letters from social services but as they say I am more likely to be stopped on the way back into the country (not sure why) I am going with or without them and they can rescue me from the airport if necessary they had to go to Liverpool twice just to get her passport so I don't have much faith in them.

Right off to do some work then off to Congleton this afternoon I will have to catch up on all the threads whilst I am away.

Hi DT - good grief, you're back into a whirlwind of activity! Like the other posters, I'm glad your DD has decided to come with you, that must be such a relief. 2 of the 3 weeks is a pretty good compromise, actually. Fingers crossed for your mortgage approval, and for fitting in everything you've got to do - thats a big list!

Glad everything is sorting itself out on the holiday front, as for the rest, it will sort itself out whichever way.

Loving the idea of an emergency Social Services trip to the airport though. The chances are that you won't be asked for anything going out. They rarely check people leaving the country.

Well the good news is that

    1. I have in my possession the two letters I need to take my little girl away (and its only Monday wonders will never cease) :j

    2. The mortgage is approved in principle just need to take in further proof on Wednesday and hope the valuation comes up to scratch - that is a big relief :T

    3. I have lost another four pounds (almost halfway) and I have a suitcase full of sachets to take away :rotfl:

    4. I have ticked off some of my jobs hope to get a few more done in the morning before I take Mom to my sisters - still have to find those shorts found some perfect ones in Matalan cheap bright and elasticated but not in my size and they don't have them online either:(

Right off to search for elasticated shorts online

Hi DT, good to hear you have some positive news to report :)

Well done on the weight loss, it must have given your confidence such a boost! And fab news about the mortgage. We are waiting any day now for the Offer, my nerves are frayed, so I hope it's tomorrow or Wednesday :o

Have a lovely relaxing holiday, you all truly deserve the break xx
