I can totally understand you not wanting to go without your daughter, I think in this case mum still knows best :A and the sun and change of scenery plus being with family would be good for her so I vote that you kid nap her and don't take no for an answer, could she take with her of pals with you?

she won't go because her partner won't go - so the jury is still out

Well done on the weight loss.
Hope you can manage to persuade her to go.

She is very upset tonight and her so called partner just walked out and went to a party without her so that reinforces the decision that if she doen't go we won't I would be too worried about her. Her brother came to get her thank goodness and I know he will look after her tonight.

I hope that things get easier for everyone eventually. Your daughter is dealing with something monumental and she is so young. I am sure that you will be the support she needs. I suppose it's hard for her partner as well as he's really young too and it sounds like he's dealing with things in a different way.

Hopefully you will all manage to get away for a break.

How awful to have to see this for you, and experience it for her. I can understand you wanting to stand by with her .... I'm glad brother is nearby enough to step in for the evening.

I'm Ok thanks Taxi but would really like a complete break away - but I know I couldn't if Laura is not with us I would be too worried about her. She had a series of disasters yesterday resulting in her bumping her car and it breaking down, missing toy story 3 because her contact fell out and getting a letter addressed to new parent from the welsh assembly telling her they had planted a tree for her new baby - it was all too much for her and I need to be around for days like that. We are having a girly night in tonight going to get a DVD so I will see if I can persuade her to come away with us.

Like most I find it hard to imagine what you are all going through and your daughter and her partner are both so young and dealing with it all in different ways.

A break would be good for everyone, hopefully she can see that she needs to have a break with a supportive family whether he does or not. I can totally understand that you would worry too much if she wasn't with you.

    Hope it sorts itself out.

Enjoy your evening DT, hope you can talk her round. As the others have said, it is such a huge thing your poor daughter is going through. Hugs to you all xx
