At least this post is about money so that's good I know it is really mortgage related but as I am adding my credit card debt to the mortgageI won't regard myself as debt free until the repayment part of the mortgage is fully offset and anyway I like it here :rotfl:

I'm planning on lurking here too when I'm only clearing the mortgage. I'm at home on DFW :D

Glad you seem to be getting the mortgage sorted.

Sorry to hear about the operation problems, it must have been heart rending for you after all you've been through recently.

Had my weigh in yesterday and lost another 2lb:j

My little girl's passport finally arrived yesterday only been asking for it since March  We were due to go away on Thursday so I would have been spitting feathers if we still were as I would only now be able to book flights, car etc.

We are still undecided whether to go away or not at the moment the weather has been so bad so far that we are tempted but I need to have a long discussion with my daughter first I would be happier if she would come with us but I doubt if she will.

I didn't realise about the passport, DT - the emergency service is very good, but you have to go to the passport office itself - it takes 4 hours. My sister did it the day before she travelled to France _pale_

The mortgage sounds good - I mean, £350 is a *lot* extra to find, but if you're happy enough with it, then its good.....

Uh oh ... I'm defrosting the fridge next door, and there was a big "clunk" just now - wish me luck, I may be gone some time ....

EDIT - no, it was fine, just a chunk falling into the thingy that catches chunks of ice that are being defrosted :)

I can totally understand you not wanting to go without your daughter, I think in this case mum still knows best :A and the sun and change of scenery plus being with family would be good for her so I vote that you kid nap her and don't take no for an answer, could she take with her of pals with you?
