I like the idea but it won't be done as we're not meant to pass each other's personal details on. If you try and post email/postal addresses the board guides will get you. There might be a liability issue for Martin somehow.

A website away from MSE might work, but people might be expected to pay a lot to post items to others, who then might sell them on Ebay....it's a big ol' can of worms :(

I think that some bigger cities have things like this through their local Freecycle though?

Yes, you're probably right F_F. I didn't really think it through - I was just freestylin' :D Which come to think of it - would be a good name for the site if anyone had the time to do it - which sadly I don't.... ah well, the thought was there!

That would be a *great* name for that site! You should do it!

hey macgirl, I'm sure ive seen that idea on TV somewhere on some life/money laundry type programme - its like a clothes auction - you have to bring an item in and then you have so much time to browse around and see what you like and try things on and then they blow a whistle and its a free for all to grab what youve seen or something like that.

Much simpler, we used to do clothes swaps once a month at slimming world group. cgx

Yes, there are clothes swapping parties - I was thinking how we could do a virtual "Help a DFW friend in need" sort of thing! I'm sure there's an answer in there somewhere.....

DT I found the Box2 website today, the clothes are gorgeous :)

Which ones did you buy? Or is that being too nosey.

I bought loads I will have to check the catalogue and work out which ones I have bought and then I will reveal all - well what clothes I bought anyway :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

  • I have started clearing out my old wardrobe I have clothes in sizes 10 to 24

Size 10 being my going away suit from 25 years ago worn once :(

So I now have a huge pile to get rid of I am being absolutely ruthless and it feels so good so my side of the wardrobe is now completely empty and I can't start to put back the few items I have kept (not much) and my new stuff :)

I will be able to see everything which will be great because I keep forgetting what I bought and what goes with what :T

The baby now has the chicken pox not too badly as yet hope she gets it mildly.

I've got a black tafetta ball gown in a size 10 - when will I wear that again?! Can't remember when I was a size 10.

Has the baby got the chicken pox just as the twins were getting over it?

    Hi DT,

Why not take some photo's while it's relatively fresh in your mind as memory joggers, especially if you bought accessories. Also on the website I think it shows some of the outfit combinations, which might help.

Sorry to hear baby has the chicken pox too.

Clothes storage is weird, isn't it .... inspired by this thread, and being tired after showing a prospective buyer round my house but not wanting to do anything too strenuous, I emptied my little chest of drawers, and have got rid of ten tops. Plus I've got another half dozen or so various things to go to the charity shop, I'm feeling a happy bunny today! Keep going DT, you're inspiring us all. Mind you, you're looking after a baby with chicken pox and the twins recovering from it. Thats *not* a bowl of cherries - take care.
