Wow ladies some wonderful ideas and comments feel free to hijack whenever you want.
On the shoe front I have been wearing heels all the time since I bought the new clothes something I rarely do they are not scarily high cos I couldn't do that and I am 5'7" so dont need the height and it does make a difference to the way I walk and my feet are getting used to them. I am aware I need another pair of heels and one summer flatties and a new pair of sandals so I will be keeping my eye open for those.
se999 we are planning an overnight trip it is a beautiful part of the country and we did not get a chance to explore Kendal let alone the surrounding area we need to wait until my son is home it is not fair to leave my daughter with my 94 old mother 4 year old twins and a 21month old and her new baby on her own for any length of time but his university year will be finishing soon. The lady owns the shop so she will be there but in the meantime if I need anything she does the roadshow in Knutsford every 6 weeks which is only about an hour away and they are online as well now I have more idea of what suits.
Trinny and Susannah I have my misgivings too don't always like the results - still to see Gok was planning to Friday evening but was so tired from my shopping trip I couldn't stay awake long enough to watch!
KC I am sorry things are so tight I hope this move will take some of the pressure off and that you can establish a me fund :A
Taxi go for it I know you are losing weight but if you can get an idea of your style now it will save mistakes in the future and a treat for losing weight is a good idea - I also feel thinner and I am sure I look thinner and because I feel better about myself I am less likely to comfort eat so I might lose weight as a result but even if I don't it is no longer such a big deal:)
Today someone at church asked me where I was going :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:I said nowhere this is the new me and she said good for you
I have also realised that I have stopped being invisible and I quite like it
On the downside we were three days from being free of the risk of chicken pox but tonight my 21month old has the spots why couldn't she have started with the other two:(

Hi DT, well done you, I bet that trip has boosted your self confidence no end and how much is that worth? I am so pleased for you. My shoes always let me down - truth be told so does my entire wardrobe, my only good points seem to be hair and handbags! note to self - must try harder, i'm sure I am not alone that I let my weight problem influence my clothes buying - as in I don't want to buy clothes when I feel fat and thinking I will lose weight so I might go years without buying clothes, I suppose this is why I love bags - they always fit me! cgxCC Debt: Jan 10 £21,660 now £8,170 hurrah!0

Thats exactly how I was compingirl (except without the bags) looked after my hair but everything else was postponed until that mythical day when I would be the perfect shape

Just reading through your thread DT (and KC's post in particular), and wondered why there isn't an MSE Clothes Exchange?? Like a clothes swapping party.
I wonder if that would be possible? We all have perfectly good clothes that we don't wear but would be great for someone else - one man's meat etc.......We could describe / post pics of what we wanted to get rid of and post it on.
Maybe like a free Ebay/Pass It On thing. Just a thought while we're talking clothes and money, my 2 favourite subjects! What does anyone else think?
PS, I bought Gok's book for my Mum for Mother's Day from Asda for £90 -

Thanks DT. The move will take the pressure off, I'm sure - I'd wanted to wait for that particular move till I was retired, which would give me all that choice we've referred to as to where to move to, but thats okay, I'll adapt.

A website away from MSE might work, but people might be expected to pay a lot to post items to others, who then might sell them on Ebay....it's a big ol' can of worms
I think that some bigger cities have things like this through their local Freecycle though?0 -
Have been doing a bit of catching up - well done you. I know what you mean about being invisible, I sometimes catch a glimpse of myself in shop windows and wonder who it is. Personally I don't like Trinny and Susanah as they have a 'thing' about showing cleavage, and as someone who is on the large side, cleavage is definitely covered up at all times.
When I had my BIG birthday last year my skinny sister wanted to buy me an outfit for the meal, and got angry with me walking into shops and out in 5 minutes going 'there's nothing here for me', so I know how you feel about being able to walk out of a shop with something. I actually treated myself to a new pair of trousers last week that weren't from Asda or Tesco.
Ooh Knutsford isn't too far from me, but then again Kendal is about an hour or so too. May have to have a look.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0
