You know that they've taken the word 'gullible' out of the dictionary?
Do you know that if you say Gullable really fast, it sound like spain too? *hits head against brick wall*
I think that if you perhaps read one of my posts on this thread, you will realise that it was my SISTER who told me it, NOT my BIL's COLLEAGUE, so unless you live in some parallel universe, you should of realised my SISTER, by anyone's standards, is a close relative.

You said if your sisters Husband had told you then you wouldnt believe it?
Now you say that it must be true because it happened to your sister's husband's colleauge at work.
Now if he wasnt trust worthy on page 2 of the thread why is he suddenly spouting gospel on page 6?
Youre quite right, if he didn't know the victim by name, I would just ignore him, but he did so I do. Anyway, it was my sister who told me originally and she did not mention it being her partner's colleague.
Just for others that perhaps do not understand, my BIL was told this at work by the victim. Because he knew her well, obviously he trusted her. She has no reason to make a story up like this- there's no financial gain or anything like that is there?
I'm sure there will be some people who question this, so let me put it into context for you- Say you went into work one day and a colleague, who you know and perhaps give lifts home every now and again and get on quite well with, told you a story of how they were robbed- would you immediately dismiss the idea as total b/s or would you believe it? I know I would do the latter, and so did my BIL.The quickest way to become a millionaire is start off as a billionaire and go into the airline business.

Was this the same person who was scammed back in December (see my link above) or it this an entirely different occurrence of the same scam at the same location? What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

I appreciate you colour-coding things, I've never known anyone called 'NOT' before though. And I think it's 'should have', not 'should of'.
My point was you were still trusting a story that hadn't actually happened to a close relative, but had simply been recounted to a close relative who was then recounting it to you... Duh. And I think you might be in the parallel universe of being unable to accept that this may simply be an urban myth.
This is too frikkin' funny! :rotfl:
PS did you find out what happened with the insurance?**Thanks to everyone on here for hints, tips and advice!**:D

Why so pedantic?
Didn't realise 'Duh', 'frikkin' and 'PS' were words. I suggest you replace them with alternatives, such as 'Obviously' and 'P.S.' which would make alot more sense to any other pedants on here. The quickest way to become a millionaire is start off as a billionaire and go into the airline business.

Are you going to answer my question about whether the person featured in the December story was the same person who is a friend of your sister? If not, then it seems that this same scam has happened at least twice in the same location. very odd! What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

Thats right but it does make you look a chump when you post it and the World debunks it as an old wives tale.
This next one has done the rounds on a few forums I post on. I have seen the same thing with the OP adamantly claiming it is true as it was his daughter, daughters friend, daughters cousins friend etc etc. All related and simply cannot be made up:
The picture was even shown in the Sun tabloid but still, the OP's will not have any of it. This sounds like your case...A class-mate of my daughters was having friends over for her birthday last week, and they got round to taking photos.
Her young sister kept crying and saying that someone was pulling her hair, whilst they were being taken.
There were no other young children in the house...
See the Ghostly face between the 2nd and 3rd girl from the left???
The replies are hilarious when the OP finally succumbs and accepts he is a sucker.0
