I hope your buyer uses this website and sees what youve written and uses it as evidence to prove that you only bid on their item to leave negative and for feedback extortion.

woh, that sounds serious, ive never heard of that. now im worried the ebay police will do a dawn raid, smash my door down and bundle me off to ebay jail.

sorry, im just not getting why you think this is appalling. Ive been an ebay user 4 10years both as a buyer and a seller, ive always been straight and honest and i expect the same in return,,but,,if someone messes me around, be it on ebay or elsewhere, im not just going to sit back and accept it,

I sympathise with you based on this buyer messing you about, BUT... when you sell on ebay, you need to obey their rules. If the buyer didn't pay within 7 days, you should have opened a non paying buyer dispute, which they then have 7 days to pay the price agreed and get the car, or not pay and get a strike. After their strike has been issued and the dispute closed, THEN you can sell the car to someone else.

Chances are the guy actually wanted the car, but was being cheeky and trying to knock money off, as many people do. They had time to think, and decided they still wanted it at the agreed price, and now they find you sold it to someone else... try and see it from their point of view too.

I think buying an item of theirs just incase they neg you so you can neg them back is petty. Negs don't mean anything! Just calmly respond to them putting your side of the story forward i.e. "buyer didn't want to pay agreed price". Don't use capital letters as it'll make you look like a psycho!
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

i realise this, but, i needed the car gone and i had to transfer the insurance on to my new car, i explained this to the original buyer and they said theyd understand if i relisted it. I gave them every chance to come get the car and frankly, it was my car so its my prerogative who i sell it to and i dont see why i should have to wait 2 weeks after the end of the sale because this person was trying to be clever. I had someone willing to buy it off me for the amount i wanted, to wait would have been stupid.

so you wouldnt have a bad attitude if someone messed you around on a high value item like a car? it cost me time and money and then they get the option of leaving me neg feedback even though I did everything by the book.

no one cares about negs anymore, as long as your feedback is 95%+ id say you have nothing to worry about lots of business people have around 98-99% feedback. you can please everyone

95% would be a disaster and might mean a 7 day suspension if the seller dashboard has any other problems.

I agree that between 98-100% though is a fairly normal range of feedback nowadays on ebay, 95% is not.

I wouldnt be put off by 95% feedback, its really not that bad to be honest. I have bought from sellers with 90% feedback and the negatives they have received are all from people who appear to be non paying bidders.

I dont pay much attention to feedback unless a person has alot of item not received comments im not too fussed.

I think feedback is pointless personally as a buyers feedback doesnt reflect a true buyer anymore as you cant comment if they do anything wrong to warn over sellers.

im more concerned with my buyers feedback when they have 0 feedback and only registered the day before etc.

Thousands of new buyers sign up every day on ebay, what feedback would you expect them to have?

If I saw a seller with a number of negs from non bidders I would think there was something very fishy going on. That implies the seller has more than the usual number of NPBs, why? Why do they all go on to leave a neg, why does seller have so many problems?

Yes a seller can come across a rogue buyer, but to come across more than a couple who also respond to an NPB dispute and leave a neg implies something else is going on. So no, in the situation with a seller with 90% feedback and for plural negatives I would definitely avoid.Anyway, ebay will suspend them temporarily soon enough under the 5% buyer disatisfaction rule.
