About three years ago my DH decided to go the whole hog at valentines day, he bought me flowers, chocolates, a little teddy, the whole shabang... now the problem is that just like you he doesnt do romantic often (read: at all) so I started questioning him on his motives... unfortunately after getting the third degree for a few days he kinda got a bit annoyed and still to this day refuses to buy me flowers :( So now I buy my own :D

    Almost the same story here.

    glad I'm not alone.

Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea.

The bouquet and roses are both lovely, bought one of each for my girlfriend to cheer her up this morning. The checkout lady was cooing over the bouquet, I think she was going to call her OH on her break and demand he bought her one :)

I wonder if the bouquet is a huge as it looks on the advert?

For £5 you can justify treating yourself, especially with Mothering Sunday approaching.

Great post. My OH only ever gives me flowers when I give birth!! So I think it would be much safer if I treated myself :rotfl:

Awww I've had flowers off my OH every few weeks since we got together... :p He even got me some yesterday for looking after my mum as she's been sick this week. Ain't I lucky :) But if he didn't I'd spoilt myself!!!!!!!!

    Thanks to the OP

I think giving flowers is a lovely gift however, they do die pretty quickly and my mum also says that so its great that now i can buy her something else too like chocolates/ perfume etc which will last AND flowers!!

:D bless her mums really do deserve it!

I phoned tesco this morning to ensure that had supply, to which I was informed they had, as it was a nice day I decided to take the two mile walk into town just to find they had sold out. An assistant I spoke to said people were buying them in bulk carrying armfulls to the till!!

Then again, since I don't buy flowers do you think it might make her suspicious.
That's just why you should buy her flowers - keep em on their toes, that's what I say ;)
