When did I attack you? Quote me.

How can you determine that I wanted to attack you?

I can actually quote your nasty insults if you would like me to? In fact I already did.

Well i have a house to see at 4pm so i have to go and get ready...

Added to that we've just found out another one had gone on the market htis afternoon so after finding that out i really can't be bothered anymore.....

I posted my rant earlier thsi morning requesting that people do not come on this thread and accuse us of being overpriced, i speak for a number of us on here who have been here a while and had that said to us time and time again and yet you decided you would still go ahead and do jsut that.....We do take into account price as i have already said. To have someone come on here and say no we don't isn't productive...

I have not implied anything. As I say I got the wrong end of stick what this thread was about.

You are entitled to try and sell you property at what price you feel it is worth and if you cant get that do what you want with the property. My point was don't take an EA's valuation as gospel and it was aimed at people in general not just you

Sorry Emy it just felt like that :o, as I said we've had people time and time again coming onto this thread and telling us we're all overpriced, a fair few of us are getting very fed up with it....Tempers are getting frayed tis all...

AKA Seller's support network (this thread).

I have been given excellent support on this thread, a safe haven from some of the others where smug "intelligent" people seem to sit, fingers poised to belittle your post/question.

Long may this one continue to give support to those of us who need it.

I am getting so fed up of nothing happening with our move. We had an anticipated exchange for the end of this month .....

You know what I have typed this before :(

Why oh WHY does it take so long.

Oh and can anyone tell me if I will be charged for all the phone calls to the solicitor to chase the progress of our move??

We were also hoping for exchange but it's been one thing after another and we still wait, but at least we have sold unlike alot of other people on here.Keep your chin up it will happen, our buyers have now gone to spain for a week arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh.;)
  • I am in Scotland - accepted an offer (quite a bit below the asking price) nearly 4 weeks ago. Buyer wants entry date of 19th August and I need to find a rental property but my solicitor has advised me not to sign any lease or organise any removal until missives are signed.

So why, oh why, does it take so long to sign them? My solicitor is keeping me informed but he seems to be having a terrible time getting in touch with and getting information from my buyer's solicitor.

I have much to do but feel I can't really do it until I sign those darned missives!

Whereabouts in Scotland are you and hwo big a property are you looking to rent?

We're looking at the moment and there is a chronic shortage or rental properties in Scotland of 3 bed or 4 bed.....

The ones coming up now are for September and October rentals so if i were you i would make plans for temporary accomodation just in case....

We've had to do that as we're leaving here in 3 weeks time and we don't think we'll find somewhere by then and as I said the ones we are looking at on Friday are for Sep/Oct anyway....

If you live in Glasgow or need a 1/2 bed you should be fine :)
  • I am moving from Edinburgh to South Lanarkshire. I am viewing 6 properties tomorrow and waiting to hear about one more up for rent.

That's all that's available and I can see me having to move in with my sister if missives don't get signed soon - at the moment the properties I am viewing will be available for my exchange date but I am painfully aware of the shortage of properties to rent and really would prefer to move into a larger house with all my stuff than find myself in a flat and half my stuff in storage.

Well the good news is that Lanarkshire there is a fair few properties to rent there... :D It's the only place we can't look as it's too far for hubby to commute 4/5 times a month.

I'm back again and have a question, we live in a terraced townhouse, the front isn't fenced off but you can easily work out where the boundaries are to each property. Anyway my question is would you fence it. I don't mean the wire ones but a nice black metal type one with gate, I am wondering if this is putting people off. I don't know, what do we do.
I wouldn't because you don't know if that's what your buyer will want. If they want a fence then surely they should be the one to put it in?

Personally speaking I love the idea of a little wall and a gate, but a lot of people who live in our street who have had that have concreted over their front garden for a parking space. I just think it's really hard to predict what another person will want.
